Design Dilemma Kitchens Remodeling

Help! What kitchen hardware should I choose?

We’re remodeling on kitchen. We have all white cabinets and white quartz countertops. I chose the Katie Globe pendants with antique brass finish and clear glass. Do I go with brass hardware finishes or is it too trendy? Polished nickel? Satin nickel?

I would get samples in those finishes (not necessarily the style that you are after) and let your eye tell you what is pleasing with the cabinets, flooring etc. Then search for a style with that finish...narrow it down a bit :)

Nothing trendy about brass hardware. It’s been around for centuries!

Here are some ideas in your space to perhaps help you aid you in selecting a style. Not knowing the width between the cabinets nor the ceiling height they are not to scale and I just tossed some up so you can see shapes, etc. based on the discussion I used this metal tone. way to high yes... it's an orb in a finer thin dark bronze metal

@backstroae Ours are Berenson Hearthstone. I just went and measured and the larger pulls do stick out a bit more than the smaller ones, but not by a lot. On our one 30" drawer we used a 160mm pull as the 12" looked too big. But seriously... if you can buy one of each pull size and hold them up to each drawer, do so... we would have not bought the right sizes if we had just guessed. Also, to anyone who reads this who may be considering Berenson brushed nickel hardware. It is fantastic and shows no smudges no matter how greasy my hands are... they look perfect still. We used cheaper pulls in the bathrooms and those show every fingerprint (as does Kohler's BN hardware so I guess it sort of matches).

Squares that you can diy. We have some commercial grade carpet near an entry (garage) ...works well. Vinyl squares can be diy.....I wouldn't hesitate to do sturdy commercial carpet squares all the way thru into small galley kitchen. Can replace easily at future time ...i would look for something you can diy and a square or section Or the like can be replaced. Or when you just want to you can change the whole floor when child grows . the key is small galley can be diy and don't hesitate to think it need not be a forever floor. Hardwood is always great but sounds like you are not wanting that.

I would make a decision about what is going to happen with the rest of the house in 2022. If you decide not to replace the floor next year, then try to match the kitchen to what you have in the rest of your home. If you decide to replace the flooring in your home in 2022, just put something inexpensive and easy to remove (sheet vinyl??). And then replace it all next year. Don't try to hang on to the kitchen flooring just because it is new.

I think it also depends on your flooring. Personally I prefer nickel but that's because I do not like the look of brass. Your mileage may differ.

I prefer nickel also, but, I also prefer to match the hardware to the brass. I have nickel hardware everywhere, but, in my living room. I have brass in that room, in the light fixture, so there is brass on the closet door that is in the corner by the outside door, and also brass doorknobs. I do think it is a personal preference though, since I do see many mixed metals, and they really do look fine. Brass isnt trendy, its been around forever. I love your light fixture.
