Walking Sticks - Help!!!! They're eating us to ruin!!!
Comments (91)Saschja, I just now saw this comment from you in July......never got a notice in e-mail. So sorry to have not responded. You can e-mail me directly at free2bebrian and the @ and then gmail.com. My name is Jan. We still have walking sticks, but have managed to keep them limited. Takes a lot of plucking. The best remedy I found is watering the plants and watching for them moving out of the wet zone. They don't like water. Then I grab them and either kill them, which I hate doing, or put them in the yard waste bin. The problem with not killing them is the risk that they just get put somewhere else via the yard waste recycling. Mostly I suck up my buddhist impulses and kill them. But its hard. Write to me and we can talk directly. The brown and green are the same, just adjusted to the different color plant part they are on usually. So sorry you have a major infestation. Not a good sign for PG. Jan...See MoreAnethesia-Flu-like Systems As a Side Effect?
Comments (3)scarab- do you by chance smoke and what type of procedure are you getting done? I had to have a root canal done on a molar, at the time I was a smoker. The anesthesia was not as effective because I was a smoker so I required more injections and had to have some during the procedure. But I also felt exhausted and congested for about 3 days after. I went 3 times for one root canal and it happened each time. Dentist explained that the congestion was a result of the procedure and because of the depth he had to go it was irritating the sinus cavity. He said some people have can have runny noses, bleeding, or congestion....See More*weird* upside of hot flashes...
Comments (6)Whew! I'm *just now* crawling out from under this horrible bug! I dared not to take antibiotics last night -- I started on a second Zithromax round but only did one night of it...let's see if it was premature. I don't think it's a polyps thing, although my tonsils were very swollen. Thanks, though, oakley. and I try to stay away from decongestants because I tend to get a rebound congestion which is a big PITA. The congestion is still there (still not minding the hot flashes :)) but it's not as nasty anymore. I hope it doesn't come back. Thanks again you all and now you know you may have something to look forward to this winter LOL...See MoreBig "C" update in my area . . .
Comments (76)I listened to Osterholm discuss the hospitalization statistics. I think it was because one of his listeners posed a similar question. It's not like anyone is trying to manipulate us. It's just that capturing hospital Covid data by "for" or "with" isn't being done. Sometimes it's not clear which it is - for example if someone is hospitalized for cardiac symptoms and is found to have Covid - do they have the cardiac problem because of Covid? Or pulmonary disease - has a problem arisen because of a case of Covid the person didn't know they had? He also pointed out that either way, if someone tests positive there's still an extra burden for the hospital because of the need to isolate these patients and for those caring for them to take additional precautions. So I would surmise there isn't enough benefit to expend the additional effort to try to separate this data, particularly in hospitals that are so overburdened as it is. If patients have Covid, whether they knew it or not, they have to be monitored and cared for as Covid patients. I think number of Covid patients in ICU gives somewhat of a read on how seriously ill they are and if that number is trending down it's a good sign even though the hospital may still be overwhelmed caring for less serious cases....See MoreSina Sadeddin Architectural Design
