Help in hanging three photos above couch
Comments (10)Dear "Original Author" I too have purchased most of my art work from local artists, some local and some as I traveled. Please hang them together. Play around with them to insure you have the best arrangement of the photos based on the colors in each photo. You may need to add better lighting in the room to show the photos to their best advantage. Hang them at eye level. And I hope that they are just the beginning of your personal art collection...See Moreround wall mirrors above sofa
Comments (13)Thank you for the new ideas! Mirrors will reflect TV as well as items on shelves surrounding the TV. I love the oversized art but being not sure what works best, opting for a safer option (mirror). Would love to get any recommendations on art please. Organic shaped mirrors are great too!...See MoreWhat to do above sofa?
Comments (16)Nice room. You've nailed it with the artwork to the left of the sliding door. I'd do a diptych over the sofa. I think a series of three smaller pieces is going to echo the small windows above but not in a good way. You can see from the diptych images below how, when done in the correct scale, they really create a sense of balance and make the sofa and artwork seem like a singular unit. Don't go skimpy on the size and hang them rather close to the sofa. (As I write this I wonder if it is what I need above my sofa too!) I also think it would help to pull the sofa away from the wall by 6" and have the feet on the rug. I think more cabinets or shelves are going to look cluttered to the left of the lamp. What about a low-ish floor plant that has some volume?...See MoreIs my painting too tall to fit above my couch?
Comments (5)IMO - I think it would be fine, you need a large piece of art like that to anchor the sofa You have over 12ft of sofa and over 8ft of art so the amount at the ends doesn't sound like that much. Curious, are you also having end tables w/lamps?...See Moreelle german
