Help! Need help on choosing Front door color.
Comments (2)I almost pasted in your photo so everyone didn't have to go the link route, but I noticed all your photos are © all rights reserved. So I didn't. That's a smart thing to do by the way, ©. Your screen door is very smart looking. There are a lot of doodads out front: the flower on the door, the big pot of plants, the flag. If you get a new color on the door that you love, I wonder if there will be less doodads and decoration. :~D I can think of one color for the door. It's a red, but it is a very warm red. "Warm" red is a big clue that it is an orange-y-er red. I know you don't want "orange" but the bricks are going to dictate to a great extent the color choices. Also, you don't want the door color to blend any more, like the current color. So, to get that punch you're likely lookin' at some flavor of red. Ben Moore's Caliente would be the first chip/sample I'd check out. Another idea to play with is something like a mid-value golden yellow. Again, due to the brick you'll have to get the *right* golden yellow, but it is another color option that will pop and not blend....See MoreHelp I need to choose flooring for our new build
Comments (4)You will not find any shortage of white oaks (prefinished) out there today. Only ten years or so...I couldn't count more than a handful...if that, except for the Europeans where Red oak can't be found. It's always been my favorite through the design trends. Definitely engineered if choosing wider planks. More stability....See MoreNeed help choosing paint color for my front door.
Comments (14)I think you have to take certain things into account when choosing a door color and ask yourself, do you want it to be a reflection of your personality, or do you want it to be what everyone expects? With that said, is there an HOA that limits self expression? What region do you live in, and whats acceptable? So, anyone could sit here and say, red, yellow, blue, purple or whatever. It can be whatever you chose it to be, as you really have a neutral base. You can go wherever the wind blows you. Have fun with it!!! I'm sure anything color will be awesome, as you have a beautiful home with lots of curb appeal.....See MoreNew home build; need help choosing appliances!
Comments (15)Do you keep a lot of wine? We don't, so I prefer a beverage fridge that reaches lower temperatures and allows you to keep other stuff in it too. Since you like to cook, have you looked into the Miele CSO (convection steam oven)? I have the Miele CSO XXL, plumbed version, and it is my most used appliance. Will get another one in my next house. You can search the kitchen forum for lots of threads on that model. Majority here with CSOs are very happy with them....See MoreRyan Brigman
