Need help choosing paint color for my front door.
Hello,
I need help choosing a paint color for my front door. Currently it’s maroon, and our shatters are dark brown and so as our roof, and the shingles are cream. I want to give the door some TLC since it has a vertical crack, and the previous owner just painted the door without sanding it or removing the old paint, so there are a lot of imperfections. DIYing this door would save money so I will not replace it with new doors and, also because the doors are made of solid maple. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.

Originally I was going to match my front doors to the outbuilding color of Glidden California Red. Comments (3)Too much matching makes things, even things as big as houses, disappear. Choose a deep color of your choice! With the soft/neutral/easygoing gray & white, almost anything will add some punch. I me my own self would think of deep lacquer red or deep teal/turquoise. Comments (16)I somehow stopped receiving notifications for the last few posted comments but thanks for the input! Here's an update on the colors I've chosen. So the door is an ivory color, trim color is consistent with the rest of the house. My question now is whether I should paint the immediate trim around the glass beside the front door (side lights..?) the same ivory color? The contrast between the trim and door color is a little more stark than I expected and wonder if this will help the eye transition better. If anyone has any pictures of what this should look like it would be greatly appreciated! By the way, it's not shown here but I've also painted the house number sign the same ivory color and the numbers match the trim color. Comments (4)Not knowing the exact shade of your peach/tan, I am showing you how a brown trim and several door & shutters colors might look. Notice that a color will look slightly different when paired with other colors. I recommend you use an online virtual paint program that most paint manufacturers have to compare and narrow your preferences....See MoreKeli O

Here’s my door:
My door used to be black. We’ve renovated the entire exterior. My original plan was a plum door but couldn’t find a color I liked with the sage green siding. So I played around and settled on teal. This is Deep Sea Dive by SW, it’s a bit brighter in person, and now, I LOOOOOVE, coming home to see this.
