Linen closet???
Comments (4)Your longer vanity looks very big- 9 ft? I would "frame" it with a tall tower units on either side of the sink. You can have glass upper cabinet that sits on your counter for towels, then 2 drawers, and a door cabinet underneath. That can be your Linen closet! I'd also think about a vanity with seating for applying makeup. I never had it before, but LOVE it in my new master bath! You could do a vanity on one side of the sink and linen tower on the other side. Tie them together with the cabinetry built all around - molding frame. I have a small vanity with a stool. I didnt want to waste the room underneath the counter, so I have a recessed cabinet under there. It's a great place to store the things you only need occasionally....See MoreRemodeling ? Large Master Closet or Master Tub?
Comments (2)If the choice is small-small-small vs. large-large-none, I'd go with the latter. I did see a couple higher-end parade homes this year without tubs in the master, so that means you're not alone in seeing them as unnecessary. It might eliminate a few buyers from your list (I'd be one of them), but hopefully that would be offset by the attraction to the size of your shower and closet. You need to balance resale with the functionality you need. And you obviously value a large closet, so you should go that way so you'll be happy in your home....See MoreQuestion for those with master closet access via master bath
Comments (19)My closet is off the Mbath without a door, (I haven't had any issues with mold, dampness, ect. but we've only been in for 6 months.) I love it! As far as a hamper, I built a pass through hamper in the middle of the wall that opens on the other side in my laundry room. I do somewhat miss having storage on the back of the door, as I've always hung DH's ties and belts on a over the door system. But that being said if it was me I'd take the door off. They make some cute corner hampers too if that would fit ....See MoreWhere can I buy french doors for a linen closet?
Comments (10)@John Smith Menards has an easy DIY door order with many door styles. It takes you through each option and explains what you are ordering. I just did one to see if it would let you get a 36x80 and it does. You just have to select "Door system" to get prehung and then "Double door" to get the two doors instead of one. They have pictures so it is pretty much foolproof. This one is prefinished so it is more expensive but you can customize you hinge color and the ball catches. Their lead time is 7-10 days. Which is pretty fast. Door delivery to your home is pretty expensive but it ships free to the store so that saves the shipping cost. They have tons of styles, 2 panel square, raised, 5 panel, 3 panel etc..... go check it out! https://www.menards.com/main/door-store-by-menards/c-1554909130155.htm?searchTermToCategory=doors...See MoreKatie S.
