Is this 100% cork or a cork back flooring? Beautiful!

Hi Jennifer,

The picture shows the pattern we called Silver Pine Fusion cork flooring. It is cork flooring with a coating of polypropylene. It comes in 10.5mm thickness floating. Installing a floating cork floor is quite simple same as laminate. It has 16.28sf/carton and sells for $4.49/sf. It has a PVC-Free finish (it is actually polypropylene = same plastic that they make children’s toys out of). It is phthalate free (which is what people worry about with vinyl).

Fusion cork flooring gets warmer/quieter/more comfortable under foot than the traditional vinyl floating flooring.

Fusion is supper tough hybrid floor. We currently carry 4 different styles. There are very few vinyl that allow anything underneath. Fusion are allowed as much as 12mm cork underlay because they are not true vinyl. The traditional vinyl cannot handle 1.2mm of anything.

I did not plan the timing of this well. :). I only have 2 induction pans at the moment, I put more on my Christmas list. the first thing I made was a grilled cheese and I sufficiently burned that! I can’t believe how fast it is, I look forward to adjusting my cook times to the new speed. i did notice that the cooktop got warm, well beyond where the pan was. ive read others say they put paper towels between their pans and cooktops. I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing that with how warm the burner got. Could my pan have been too big? I appreciate the suggestion to ask for different legs to raise it. My husband put two boards down the sides that basically acted as rails. If we end up keeping this, were going to run the shoe mounding under the range to hide the boards. thanksto everyone for the feedback!!!

Is the house the taupe -ish color brick? Then I’d use a color in the same family, could go a shade or 2 darker but nothing super- contrasting. At a paint store I’d look for the chips you think are kind of like the house color, pull those and some that are adjacent. Back at home you can start to see if you’re on the right track.

I'd try it without shutters. Do you have stone above and below the windows or is that painted trim? I think a warm cream would work well.
