Help mixing patterns for eclectic-phobic
Comments (5)Thank you for the reassurance and input. I failed to mention Im doing bamboo blinds with the curtains (beach house) as well as dining windows (also shade of light wood dining set) which made me think of possibility of bringing in a more tan/beige since the adjacent kitchen (open floorplan) all white cabinetry so little wood / natural color otherwise and tan/beige seems neutral. I really tried to avoid navy overkill, went neutral on walls and ended up with just navy stove in white kitchen, navy rug in dining area and navy sofa set plus the blue in curtains. Its more a them carried thru the house then overly blue rooms which seems to make it less special. Here I pasted curtain on room pic (they look very white because room is dim, cabinets actually bright white). STRIPES - I agree about subtly of stripes and wonder if the theyre so being wide make them more obvious. Suspect thinner might be better considerations, if at all....See MoreAttempted Mediterranean- window treatments? Mixing patterns?

Comments (9)Last question - I think I decided to put LVP or laminate in the upstairs hall and bonus room at the end of the hall as long as it's not too many materials. With this mix, is it more important than ever to have all the same carpet throughout? Can I just put patterned carpet on the stairs only and plush in the rest? Does this mix work?: Upstairs: laminate or LVP thoughout (except for carpeted bedrooms/bathrooms) Stairs: carpeted Downstairs: birch real hardwoods throughout (except living and family room and tiled laundry)...See More- 5 years ago
