Rookie Mistake I Don't Know How I Should Fix
Comments (4)Steve, I have supports that have 3 flat sides, like a long triangular shape. It opens so that I can position 1 side against the plant, then the second, then the third. I use these in self-watering containers and it works very well. I imagine you could get them on even a relatively large plant....See MoreDon't know if I should get my hair cut in this way...
Comments (3)I don't think Billie Joe's hair looks stiff, but as mitchdesj says, there is probably a good amount of product used. I think mostly near the roots, though. A few years ago I had my hair cut and the intent was to have a "messy" look, but I can't step away from the mirror until I tame it much more than the hairdresser or my daughter planned. As I dry my hair with the blow-dryer, I use the palm of my hand to twirl the hair in circles near my scalp. This will tease/rat the hair close to the scalp, giving me volume, but leaving the ends unteased. It actually looks a bit like BJ's picture before I begin the taming process. And it doesn't take long in the mornings to achieve the style. I think the style would look good on you. But before you get it cut, ask the stylist what would be involved in achieving the look each morning and make sure that you want to commit to that. I'd love to see what you decide. Please come back and post pics for us....See MoreI Don't Know What I Don't Know About Mini Fridges
Comments (9)Hi Plllog! "That is, I know it's possible, but might not be in your budget." See, there's the crux of it. This little beverage center idea of mine was not in the original budget. (Nor, alas, were new drywall in the livingroom and halls, the gorgeous walnut top on my used cabinet island, the matching gorgeous top that will soon be on the new media cabinet and the near full gut of the bathroom.) And we're still determined to get through remodeling our ugly duckling without taking out a loan or dipping into savings. Conventional wisdom says: Wait until the coffers are full again but that's so hard to do. First off, I'm a cheapskate. Even if the goose who laid the golden egg waddled up onto my deck and built a nest, I'm not sure I would willingly pay someone to mess up the walls I just paid to fix. Second, I'm not quite cheap enough. My new kitchen is starting to look pretty good but, gosh, it would look so much better if the microwave and coffee maker didn't take up so much room on that one counter. I'm willing to spend a little bit more to change that, especially since I'm going to have a piece of countertop leftover that should be just the right size. Still, it's nice to know that it's possible. Maybe when the coffers ARE full again I'll put a tile counter outside on my deck to shade the golden goose should she happen to wander by ;) Thanks for your help!...See MoreI don't know if I should be here
Comments (23)My SM #3 is this way PO1. She has a good heart but it annoys me to no end. She publically takes all the credit for us skids and our achievements but married my dad after I was an adult and all but 2 of our children were already born. She has just met my brother and his wife and their kids this past year for the very first time... She's been married to my dad for almost 10 yrs and has never met my brothers fam or even talked on the phone. Mostly because my brother was estranged from our father.... Anyway-- on Facebook she writes to my niece and brother and SIL, I am so proud of you, I love you and miss you!! And then she has some crap about 'interests' watching my children and grandchildren grow. I hope to have great grandchildren one day. She has one adult son that is estranged from her bc he is a jerk and he has no children. So the grandchildren would be our children. I personally haven't seen her in quite a while none of us have but she acts like she saw us yesterday. She was signing her cards to us 'momma(insert name)' and we are all adults. My sister finally said, please stop. We don't mind the kids picking a nickname for you like Nana or grams but we aren't calling you Momma. We have a momma and we don't know you that well. People always write on her fb 'hope your kids and granbabies are well. And I just wonder if they are confused....See More- 7 years ago
