Kitchen light help please

We live in a condo and the ceilings are concrete so moving an electrical junction box to relocate a light is very challenging. I'm not sure what the building's designer was thinking because they are all poorly placed in every room and it's a challenge to work with.

We'll be replacing the table with a tulip table in white and clean lined chairs. The speakers will be replaced with a much more minimal option as well. The string lights are temporarily hung from a recent party which will be removed.

There are three light fixtures in the kitchen, pictures attached. We also have under cabinet task lighting installed.

I'm thinking a pendant relocated over the table using a cable and hook like the picture attached and two matching flush mounts but I'm open to all ideas. I don't want to use a chain as it's a bit traditional for our taste. How do we get the cable so look so nice and not wrinkly. I'd also appreciate some ideas on fixture styles. Our style is modern but not minalmist modern.

Thank you!!
