office wall art help!!

Hi! I need help deciding what to do on this wall. I was thinking of white floating shelves, but the wall may be too big for that? Or else I was going to default to 6-8 large picture frames. Or a large clock in the middle with pics surrounding. I did have my heart set on floating shelves... open to all ideas! Please excuse the mess, we just moved in!

No reason you can't have the floating shelves you want.

Why not shelves and some artwork? A large clock would make me feel a little pressured, but of course it's your office.

I think you could do something similar to photo below, floating shelves and incorporating some art. it’s the wall you see when entering the room so you want it to be attractive.

Thanks everyone ... I appreciate all the help and compliments I received on this! The rug isn't new, but it was my 3rd try until I got it "right" You know I didn't even think to move the picture up a little, to cover the box, but I will definitely do that. Unfortunately my whole house needs to be rewired, so I will have many more of these type holes to patching paint!

This is a very rough and quick attempt to illustrate what I think both the previous comments are aiming that -- not the perfect solution, but the point is that the stuff on the dresser is badly arranged. You need two centres of interest, one clustering around the lamp (which shouldn't be so close to the edge) and one on the other side of the dresser. Hang the art between them. In this example, below, we are missing the taller item you need on the right to balance the lamp.

@groveraxle I really, really like your placement of artwork with the four pieces!! Thank you very much for your input!! Would you say that the 2 smaller black and white pieces are 8x10 frames? I'm trying to figure out what size of frames and the 2 larger canvases are, so I can make this look happen! Also, do you happen to know where the floating shelf below the tv can be purchased? Or something similar? You made my morning with your help!!!

IMO you buy art because you love it not because it “goes “ with the decor. I think one of the giant floral wallpapers would be great on that wall. BTW wood slat blinds and that chandelier do not work together

Shelves can look cluttered. Since this is the wall you see from the entrance, I would put a large art piece there and storage/shelving elsewhere in the room.

I hadn't even noticed the cat. They have a way of occupying the center of a workspace while camouflaging themselves. Forget the floating shelves and go for a floating cat instead.

Wow!!!! Thanks so much you guys!!! I might come up with a couple items and post it back here and see what you think! Lol, the cat ain’t moving! For some reason he always seems to think the keyboard is the most comfortable spot!
