I am tired of my mop heads blooming so late with so few
Comments (32)I have ES growing in 2 different places: one is on the Notrh-East side of the house and another one is on the West-facing side. And they are so different that almost feels like 2 different varieties. This is how ES from West side looks like (it is smaller, leaves are somewhat paler, but blooms reliably every year): And this is my ES from the Notrh-East side. In fact , these are 3 hydrangeas planted in a row. They are much taller, with dark-green leaves and have fewer flowers between three of them than the one growing on the West side. Also, their flowers are mostly hidden in the foliage. These ones get more attention than their sister: they get fertilized with liquid 20-20-20 at least once a month, while the one above gets a handful of granular fertilizer in spring and thatâÂÂs it: This post was edited by green_go on Sat, Jul 26, 14 at 22:24...See MoreWelcome KT peeps
Comments (23)I'm here too now. I can't even get in over at the KT. It times out every time I try, for 3 or 4 days now. I've gotten a lot more done, not setting here all the time, but it's not as much fun. DD went to ElPaso this morning, with her dad. I guess they're going to unplug his mom, her gramma. I guess her kidneys failed a couple weeks ago or so. I don't know the whole story, as he's very secretive, and doesn't even tell DD much. (probably cause he don't want me to know anything). DD's soon to be ex has the kids until tomorrow night. Then I'll be taking Carley to school every day (12 miles 1 way) and then going back to pick her up at 3:00. She'll be back Thursday afternoon around 4:00. My tulips look kinda limp. I was out scratching in the dirt, and pulling off some dead leaves and old lily stalks, and came across a nest of those "cute as a button" plant killers. Scared me. My flowering crab tree looks a little burnt, but hopefully it'll still bloom. It's 54° right now, and hopefully it'll just keep warming up. Good to have some where to post and read. Comments (7)Dear: I don't know how religious you are, but even The God of the Bible had His limits. He would give a person, a family/tribe, or a Nation so many chances and then turn them lose to follow after their own way. In the 1980's a wave of personal responsibility went through the US encouraging parents of "children" with addictions, habits, or irresponsibility to mature-up/harden -up/straighten-up and let the individual pursue their lifestyle choices far enough away that their choices were no longer a concern in the mature person's daily life routine. It was called the "Tough Love" movement. Alcoholics Anonymous has a term called an ENABLER. This means you are making it easier for a person to continue in their bad choices, by protecting their health/safety more then they themselves does, covering for them to others, making excuses for their behavior, and providing a safe/comfortable place for them to practice their unhealthy choices. You might have slipped from helping to Enabling. The only way to stop being an Enabler is to follow the age old practice of "Tough Love". Then you can begin to live your life. There are better plans in life for you then to be an Enabler. I've grown up hearing the old saying: Life can not work on the person inside until the people outside let them stand on their own. It's time to stop fixing someone's life who refuses to fix their own and time to start living yours Hope you love the one who stands beside you more then you do the one who drags you down....See MoreI am so tired!!
Comments (9)I use to OCD about my house. Everything had to be spotless. But since I have gotten older and the stuff that comes with age I cannot clean like I use to when I was younger. I have three floors and I HATE going up and down steps. Seems like I always need something that is on a floor that I am not on. When the kids were here and I was young it did not bother me. Now, I have difficulty climbing these stairs. I have closed off all bedrooms and bathroom on top floor, but they still need dusting, vaccuming, bathroom cleaned etc. ugh!...See Moremantis__oh
