hello all, You should check the cords you got with the cell phone. It should have one to attach to a USB port as someone mentioned. Then you just plug it in and find the photos to transfer over. I'll be turning the whole phone off so it won't be updating all day. As far as I can tell from reading cruise site information, I could turn the phone on Airplane mode and turn on the wifi mode when on the ship (with their minutes). It suggests if I take a while to "ponder" a text, that the wi fi and roaming should be turned off so the phone doesn't start updating again. I asked for the phone # from skype a couple days ago so I'm not clear on how much data time it uses or what other charges are incurred. Talking on the phone sounds better than texting if the data charges aren't too high. Need to investigate that. Facebook would be a good way to see updates on the teenagers.

Actually, every prepaid phone I've dealt with you have to start with a "new" number on the prepaid phone. You can then port a different number to it if you want. Tip: If using Tracfone, activate the phone online and you'll get a few extra minutes. They may still have the thing going where you can get a few minutes too for registering an email address against the phone. Look for bonus codes to add minutes or time when adding time. You can get a lot more minutes for your money. And a double minutes for life card is about $25 if your phone doesn't have that on it.

Connecting your phone to WiFi involves turning WiFi on in your phone's settings (and entering your WiFi password if you have one). If you're near your WiFi, your phone will automatically connect to it, if not, it will get the phone signal normally.
