Need help with paint colors and decorating ideas (pics)
Comments (28)Georgia, we ended up doing Latte throughout. I love it. They are finishing up the painting today but I'll post pics tomorrow after the chair rail is done. We also did red (SW Bolero) in the art niche and beneath the chair rail in the DR. We left the kitchen color the same since it goes with the Latte and is a bit lighter. I plan to get some very colorful window treatments and window seat cushions and pillows to make the kitchen nook pop more, rather than doing the kitchen in a different color. RG at 50% was pretty light. It was very similar to the Blonde, but with a slightly different tone to it. It also looked lighter than Blonde to me. I hear you about repainting. I'm kicking myself for paying another $200 to get the LR repainted just a week later LOL. But I would rather do that than hate my LR, KWIM? Good luck!...See MoreI just moved into a new home I need living room decor ideas
Comments (5)I agree, there is not much to be said without more pictures, but looking at what we have, and not knowing the size of your starbust mirrors, I think you could hang them to the right of the TV to fill up approximately the shape I've indicated below. Second point, look for a striking rug that has a similarly natural, organic feel. It could continue your neutrals theme or introduce colour, but I'd definitely go for some kind of organic pattern -- not a geomatric design. I've just come across this one and I love it. https://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Hand-Knotted-Roth-Abstract-Pattern-Hemp-Rug-5-x-8/9912730/product.html?refccid=CPCHMYDRCEE2WRKCR4625KZO2Q&searchidx=337&keywords=&refinement=material%3ANatural%20Fiber...See MoreNeed help with paint color/window covering/decor/furniture ideas!
Comments (5)Okay, Rugknots is selling those things, but I think her advice is fine. See how lovely the picture above is. Too bad you already have a rug. Fun thing is the grey chair at the dining room table. To prevent it from becoming too predictable. How lovely is the view outside? I mean, is it over the top lovely so you have to see it all the time? Or could you place a not too big sectional in the current TV corner and place your TV on the opposite wall, where the brown couch is now? A chair diagonal like the brown one here, but closer to the sectional would allow for conversation. I'd keep the coffee table light and airy, like a glass one, since this space is not that big. Small end tables for some beautiful, but airy lamps. Perhaps an accent color (or two) in artwork, pillows, vases....See MoreI need help! Dont know how to decorate or pick furniture/paint for LR
Comments (136)So I am going. to read through all of these suggestions afain! MIL is coming back in town so we want to just order something for the dining table so its already done and she doesnt try to talk my husband out of it (he is a pushover, lol) I actually saw some chairs at tuesday morning as a for now fix, do you a fhink the actual table is that bad,? because I guess we are just trying to find the right thing and dont want tocwaste tons of $$. do yall know if paint is expensive? have any of you done it by yourself.? I saw an article about how to save on smaller stuff like rugs and coffee tables I am going to look into! Dining table is a biggie. But I def want to keep the room so that it could match any paint color (like a white maybe, or grey) a coffee table and area rug. so whatever we bring in will work. i am going to re-look into ikea and post some pics too. I actually found a lot on pinterest too!...See MoreMichelle
