What makes your dining room linens modern or contemporary?

I’d like your help. Is there such a thing as (Midwestern) “transitional” or “modern” or “contemporary“ table linens? And, are there modalities or themes that keep table linens “transitional” or “modern” or “contemporary“ while also being apropos for Fall, Thanksgiving, Xmas, Winter, Spring, or Summer?

We’ve never been happy with our choice of table linens at the stores around us: Pottery Barn, William-Sonoma, Crate&Barrel. And AllModern (online) doesn’t seem to quite fit our dining room either.

Our dining room is “transitional.” Our furniture is Thomasville Studio 455. The room has the clean lines and low (8ft) ceilings of a mid-1950’s California Ranch. The artwork are botanical illustrations and a Crate&Barrel overlapped squares-candle metal piece. The rug is contemporary, blue spruce colored wool on Honey Oak hardwood.
