White Cabinets - Prefinished or Painted
Comments (5)BTW, touchup isn't a big deal at all. Every installed cabinet out here gets touched upduring the install. Have your professonal istaller show you how he does it. Once again, it's what separates a good builder from a hack. Hacks ''have a guy I know'' who may not really know a thing about cabinet installs. Reputable bilders use professional cabinet installers. There can be a big difference in how that makes your expensive cabinets look....See MoreMarvin Ultimate Clad vs. Marvin Infinity
Comments (4)The quotes are for a full replacement on my windows. I guess what sticks in my mind is the clad still has wood and has the potential for rot down the road. As for the Infinity it does not seem there is anything to rot on these windows although I am not sure which finish will holdup better in the long run. Another positive for the Infinity is the outside can be painted if necessary down the road not sure that is true the clad. So not sure what is best longevity. Both appear to be solid windows. I am more impressed with the clad dealer who has communicated installation procedures and what happens to minimize damage to the area surrounding the windows on the interior which will leave paint and wallpaper in tact when the job is done....See MoreWhich black interior paint to match Marvin ebony clad windows

The paint store may already have a formula in their computers...I know mine does as I have used this color a few times....See MoreWhite paint that matches Marvin Integrity stone white exterior?

I purchased Marvin Elevate windows in stone white and my painter uses SW Super Paint (not Reliance or Duration). The formula my SW store had didn't match and neither did Reserve White or Spare White. After playing around with the SW color wheel on site, I painted two coats of SW Alabaster onto the Miratec trim material and it's a very close match! I agree with Sandra that the color is on creamier/yellow-er side - my original attempts were too gray....See MoreEast Bay 10
