Pics of marble subway done (grout dried)
Comments (53)Hi worldmom - thank you! The fixture is from Rejuvenation but I'm sorry that I don't know its name! I only got that fixture temporarily (got it in person since they're local) so my electrician could see what would be used canopy-wise (same canopy size as the one that's coming in the mali that had to be special ordered). The electrician made a hole off-center in the ceiling and it was supposed to be centered and he was moving things a bit so needed a canopy to know what's what. He misunderstood me and installed it so I have to unscrew it and return it soon! I like the George one! The one I'm getting is the kind that instead of hanging by a rod, is hanging by a black cloth-covered cord. I'm doing a polished nickel canopy and socket and a glass white shade (cone style, kind of wide). The fixture I'm getting is called Willis. The shade I'm getting isn't on their website but is in the store. It looks like the one in the link I'll put here only it doesn't have lines etched in it. Not sure if the link will look (I did the customizing thing in which you play around with the pictures - fun huh!)... Here is a link that might be useful: The light fixture I have coming in the mail, only my shade won't have lines etched in it...See MorePlease help me choose a bathroom floor tile: marble? mosaic? Comments (53)Dottie - I could not have done this without an educated designer - it's not just about the design choices although I would never have come up with design choices as my brain isn't hardwired in those kinds of visually imaginative ways. I can appreciate things but I don't know how to pull them together and I wouldn't have the ability to figure out where to even start in terms of the sea of vendors. I am good about researching appliances and functions but get lost in the sea of visual possibilities :-) And I can't even imagine dealing with codes and such since Los Angeles is code crazy - I wanted to move some floor electrical outlets up a bit from the floor as I found it difficult to reach them when I had some hip issues so I was thinking about for the future - I was told that if I move a plug, the whole thing has to be rewired back to the panel box. And the darn kitchen sink has to be approved by the UL LOL - who would think a kitchen sink could be dangerous....See MoreBlush pink bathroom?
Comments (33)Easier to match paint to curtain than the reverse. Happyleg makes a good point about off white being a versatile wall colour but don't think that blush walls will tie you in to one colour scheme. It pairs well with white, cream, yellow, coral, greens, blues, gold, grey, charcoal, black... Check Bed, Bath & Beyond. Society6 also offers shower curtains. Comments (21)no,,once the sealer penetrates, it's a done deal. You might try calling in a marble/natural stone restorer/refinisher. they completely sand down he surface to refinish them. I've had it done to my marble shower floor that had etched. I don't know how far down the sealer penetrates though. it wouldn't hurt to put in a call and have them come out to take a look. it's free. just make sure they're a pro stone refinisher. I don't think it looks too bad. I might have gone with a different tile altogether, only because your Fantasy Brown is rather busy. From afar you really don't notice the pink that much....See MoreK R
