Miele dishwasher

Yet again my Miele, Optima Series had the dreaded water inlet problem. The dishwasher didn't allow any water into the machine and of course the red flashing light on the Inlet/Drain light. We replaced this once before in 2016. Thus that expensive piece lasted two years. Back to square one again. This time around I decided to use the generic fix to the problem. No more pretty encased intake valve and electrical. For $55 Canadian, we cut the hose and electrical and mounted a generic water inlet to the system. Tah dah...no more red flashing lights, water enters the dishwasher and we have a working dishwasher once again. Hoping this will be the last issue for this appliance.
