Treatments for small room with a lot of windows
Comments (36)I'm late to the discussion, but I like your choice(s). I have 3 walls of windows in our sunroom and I love roman shades in there. And we don't even need them for privacy - but we do need a bit of relief from the sun. My shades are almost always pulled down 1/3 of the way at the most. However my windows are taller than yours. Our romans are solid as are the slipcovers in that room. I have a pillow obsession (and maybe a throw/blanket obsession) and love to swap out. ANYWAY, the rug is beautiful as is the paint color. I think the light fabric is a good choice and will keep the room from being too dark. I may be biased on that thought, because I favor more airy, light rooms. Glad you didn't go with valances! No, not the way it goes at our house cuz it'd drive me over the edge. I'm kind of a get one project out of the way before starting another one type of gal. LOL And we DIY alot of things, and I couldn't handle more than 1 at a time. I bet you could recover the chairs yourself....See MoreHelp fabric for window treatment/lots of pics
Comments (4)In your second art work there is a girl with braids in the upper right corner, next to it on the left is a square with a lime green and then a yummy rust on top of it. That rust is the color I would choose for the drapes, it's gorgeous on your wall color and would look so warm and inviting and original. Comments (4)I would go with stenciled roller shades for 2 primary reasons: 1. Very few holes added to the woodwork. 2. Your trim is wonderful. Roller shades will afford you the protection you want, yet also allow you to show off the trim most of the time. http://www.annwallace.com/roller-shades/...See MoreWindow treatments for 2 story great room windows?!
Comments (21)Hey There: My suggestion for your windows are motorized roller shades. I believe you don't have power to the windows, so a lithium battery operating system (the charge lasts 6 to 9 months) with a remote control is a great solution. Minimalistic style to keep the openness of your windows. You will cover only the squared part of the upper windows though - the roller shades will line up with your horizontal bars in the window. The different height in the window give a nice variation in design. The roller shades are only 2 1/4 and not bulky - no casing is required and you can operate them from your smartphone. To charge the roller shades, just plug them in like your tablets and recharge them over nite - done. (no chain though)...See MoreSuki Mom
