In 1910, shingle stain colors were very limited, like red, green, brown, and buff. I think Buff on the stucco, off-white for trim, and a green or red for the accent color. Your door being red in the pic, that would work. The shingled gables may look well in another color as long as it is not a deep value or a primary color. Something like a slightly darker shade of the stucco color. I'd recommend staying away from the outlining effect in a dark color of the trims, it makes an already-small structure look more cut up (busy is a word I hate to use, but it fits in this instance, meaning visual clutter) Casey

Try the Spanish Revival house (or any other you want), then plug in some colors like Mossy Gold (just request Mossy or you'll get a whole bunch of different golds), Baguette, a peachy pink like Constant Coral or any other colors that will be suggested in this thread. You will also get suggested coordinating colors for doors, shutters and trim. Another idea is to go to your nearest paint store like SW or BM and ask what are the most popular colors for your style house. Take a picture of your house and ask to talk with the color consultant when you're there and see what they recommend. Doesn't hurt to gather as many opinions as possible and see if there is a common thread.

first thing I do every morning is to open all the blinds in my house. nothing is better than natural sunlight. I hate to turn on light in the daytime when the sun does it for you. your drapes need to be on separate rods so that you can do that. a light sheer panel on an inner rod to let light in but still give you privacy and a heavier one to close at night for maximum privacy. blinds or shades under the drapery will do the same. the rods should extend past the window moulding so that when they are open you get the full window of light. it WILL be much lighter. a rug will bring in color and pull everything together. center it in the room parallel the TV and leave about a foot of flooring showing between the tv and rug. at least the front legs of your couches should be on the rug
