Based off the Formulas;

Agreeable Gray (SW) has a tad bit more Red in it making it a bit more on the Warm side of the grays.

The Rodeo (BM) has less red and slightly more black making it a cooler gray.

IMO Rodeo is closer to a True Gray.

To my eye they seem like the same color.

You have a good eye. They are very similar. To answer questions about grayness, you look at Chroma.

I happen to still love grays and this is the first house we have owned where gray walls are perfect. I used Vancouver Day from C2 and it is so neutral it works with every space in my home.

I was talked into a gray by my interior designer sister. We settled on BM Balboa Mist. It is warm and,yes,misty. Give it a look.

I use Encycolorpedia. Rodeo is light shade of yellow, whereas Agreeable Gray is light shade of brown.

Encycolorpedia is a hot mess of misinformation. You shouldn't use any of the data for anything - ever.

They don't measure colors to get the data.

Instead, they use an eyedropper and pick the colors from websites and/or RGB values they've downloaded. They calculate all the values from RGB - mathematically, colorimetrically that's a bad thing. There's a boatload of reasons why that's all kinds of wrong.

@Lori...Ohhhhhhhh that why I wonder that I have different results when compare with easyrgb.

@celergirl, you are exactly right. EasyRGB measures colors according to intl. color standards and they use state-of-the-art spectrophotometers. They only use brand new fandecks, preferably shrink wrapped.

I know this for a fact because I'm the one that sent them many of the American fandecks to measure and add to their data base. 12 or 18 fandecks, can't remember.

Last but certainly not least, their color math is correct.
