Ok, I'm very noncomputer savvy but am trying to post a better pic. Cori25, the clawfoot tub is 30" wide and the vanity is 24.5" wide. Since the the room is ~7feet across, that should leave about 28" as a walkthrough between the tub and vanity which is about what I have now. It's something I'm really worried about but I don't know another good way to design the layout since the room is a rectangle. I can shorten the shower and push the tub up next to it and put the toilet where the tub is set to go....do you think that would work better? The door is basically right next to the where the tall cabinet is (not centered on the wall). Here is a link that might be useful: bath design-trying again

I am just finishing a bathroom renovation, and I am thrilled with the way a floor similar to what you are considering has turned out. I used 8x8 honed bursa beige marble field tiles laid on the diagonal, with a mosaic border of polished Jerusalem gold and afyon sugar (white with some gold), and little 1x1 squares of the Jerusalem gold at every intersection of the beige tiles. When the tiles arrived there was less contrast than I expected between the border and the field tiles, and I panicked, but in fact the whole effect is quite beautiful and subtle, and the polished dots and border sparkle in the light and create some texture underfoot without making the whole of my little 5x8 bathroom look too busy. I have been trying to capture this in photos, but so far I haven't succeeded. (My walls are 4x12 white subways, and beige-colored paint above the wainscot on the toilet side of the room.) Hi mama goose, Thank you very much for your help! I appreciate it! This is going to be a 4th bedroom in the house, no tub needed just a walking in shower, would be nice to have the shower and the seat within the shower. Good point, about the positioning, I imagine mainly the toilet for it to be again the LR wall, in the diagram it's just against the wall for the living room, I would imagine ideally, the shower and the toilet should be on the L/R wall, or if it's to many issues spend extra money and move the bathroom to t he corner away from the living room? About interference between bathroom and bedroom doors, the bedroom door could open toward the living room instead of toward the bedroom (which I'm guessing is not good design?). Looks a bit shallow for a sink maybe make sure about that first. Please no edison bulbs in a bathroom. Maybe work on the bedroom too you need much different larger lamps for sure take the tiny pictures down and put on the dresser , hang the 2 black pieces together somewhere else add a mirror behind each lamp then show the rest of the bedroom and your bathroom space.
