Need vanity color to go with Ben Moore Revere Pewter walls
Comments (7)That changes my suggestion, yes…. Thinking you have a lot of the same (I have Revere Pewter on my walls and ! I have your floor tile in a bathroom). What I have found to be the perfect accent color to all the taupes and whites is black…I bought two new spool chairs in black…I added two end tables in an Annie Chalk black paint on either side of my white English arm sofa, with white lamps, and have a wall collage of antique botanical ferns that I reframed in black. But, not any black…B.M Midnight 2131-40. That is what I would paint the vanity. As for hardware, in a bathroom, I like chrome finish…bright and clean, but that is your choice. Otherwise, brushed stainless is my choice. One word of warning, sometimes brushed nickel can look pink, or sometimes a grungy yellow tone. Not my favorite....See MoreGray granite and revere pewter
Comments (6)Thanks all. I’ll check out that one lighter color you mentioned, the shoreline. I’m worried that the full strength revere will be too dark for my space. I had tried Balboa Mist for the walls, but really didn’t like the undertone color, too pinky peachy somehow. So I just thought I’d cut the pewter. Sounds like that wasn’t a good idea! We are right next to the ocean, and I have a lot of white going on in the kitchen, actually all white pretty well, so I need some color for sure. I felt blue would be too cold, so was going with the revere pewter to bring in some warmth. Any other suggestions, I’d take them! Comments (9)First off, I can see you have so many colors right next to each other for swatching, and when I see a client do that I know I have lost them. Can you cover those colors, and regroup? There are too many colors... and now you are most likely unable to see any of them, even if you had a winner! A few color options to consider is Light Pewter, White Dove or Grey Owl (all Benjamin Moore) are all colors I have used in combo with Revere Pewter very successfully, and both options could work well in this space. Keep in mind when it is covering a larger space it doesn't look as dark as when it is in just one spot... and it will dry a different color. Another trick that designers sometimes do is purchasing a pearl or semi gloss finish which tends to read brighter since it allows the light to reflect off of the surface. You mentioned Sherwin Williams, but you are referencing Benjamin Moore color names. Benjamin Moore is the only one that does a pearl finish, so that is important. Let us know how you make out! ♥...See MoreSlightly Darker Gray to update Revere Pewter Walls
Comments (5)We painted our bedroom storm and it is a DARK purple gray. Wouldn't recommend. But the rest of our house is the remaining colors on that pallette: Stormy Monday, Cement, and American White (which we darkened 30%). I love all of them. They look clean but still welcoming. Our house is primarily West facing and they do have purple and blue undertones depending on the time of day. I think the undertones help give the room a bit more life than a muddy grey would....See Morechloebud
