Aerosmith fanatic here too! Saw them 3 times. I think you have grown up, or in my case, old. I don't go to concerts anymore. The crowds etc. just don't justify it to me anymore. And poor Steven Tyler is starting to look bad, like the rest of us! LOL

Won't they be in LV for a year? There's still time for you..... ;-)

About five years ago, I had an encounter and short discussion with Tyler in a public place in a small town in Hawaii. An entourage was with him but we spoke directly.

I couldn't have been less impressed. Face to face, he looked like death warmed over. I've never liked the band's music, or him, but I don't think that influenced my impression. Save your money.

Did you see them walking into the Today Show yesterday? Actually not into the set, since they were to get off the tour bus and head directly to the outdoor stage. A camera followed (led them) from the bus, and Steven Tyler already looked annoyed, and then a guy jumped into the narrow cleared pathway to take a selfie with him. Tyler did a nice duck and run, but it was scary to watch.

I think the issue is not whether one likes Aerosmith, it is the unbelievable expense of some of those tickets.

I think one can still be a fan without those expenses. And the crowds and parking annoyances that some of the huge concerts involve.

I am also over the concert thing. I would do it to see Springsteen. That's about it.

Especially now in the cell phone age when no one seems to "experience" it any more, they just want to record it to brag that they were there.

Stephen Tyler looked 'rested' yesterday morning on TODAY.

His eyes looked young, fresh and wrinkle-free. Not that there is anything wrong with having work done.

I hope you have a wonderful time, I'm a fan too. Steven lives in a town next to me and he is an amazingly generous and sweet man. He gives countless money and time to a foundation called Magical Moon in the town. He gives of his time to benefits and fund raisers very very often. It's not easy being him, people haunt him wherever he goes. That video shows how little respect shown from the fan rather than toward Steven. Just saying.

We're going to see Phil Collins here in October. My husband is beyond excited. I re-activated an old credit card so I could have early access to purchase the tickets. We got decent seats for $170 each. The most I have ever spent on a ticket! But, according to my husband, it's PHIL COLLINS! So totally worth it.

I hope so!

Even at my advanced age I am a serious rock fan and used to be a devoted concert goer. Depending on who was giving the concert, I'd still consider going......as long as it was close enough to drive to and affordable. But affordability is the key :-) Can't afford the prices they charge these days!!

Last concert I saw was the Rolling Stones (my only Stones experience) and it was a birthday gift about 12 years ago. Wouldn't mind seeing Aerosmith for sure!!

I'm still an active live music fan but I won't go to stadium or basketball arena size shows anymore. Fortunately most of the folks I like can't fill the large venues anymore anyway so the summer outdoor amphitheater circuit and indoor theaters and clubs fill the bill. I probably average one show a month through the year and we'll travel up to 500 miles or so for acts not coming to my area.

Best shows seen so far this summer were two- Steve Stills performing with Judy Collins (lovers from 50 years ago) and a mini Byrds reunion in honor of the Sweetheart of the Rodeo 50th anniversary. More good ones to come in the next 6 weeks

We've had fun seeing some of our favs from the 70's in smallerl venues now. We've seen Grand Funk Railroad and Three Dog Night in the last year. Those guys are OLD but they can still rock! LOL

One of the best I've seen in a smaller venue was a few years ago - The Moody Blues. So awesome!

So ... *that's* what adulthood means!

These are not quite my style, staring age 90 in the face, as I am ... and I'd find it hard to justify the prices that they charge even when buying the tickets directly.

But what bugs me is that they have these robotic machines that can buy large blocks of tickets very quickly when they come on sale, then re-sell them at hugely inflated prices.

That happened to a major group that was putting on a concert for charity a few months ago, and there was quite a lot of complaining that the inflaters were grabbing a lot of those tickets, as well.

I enjoy live music, but don't enjoy 'standing only' so much anymore. I'd love to see the Moody Blues. My oldest sister had all their albums back in the day, and she generously let me play them often as I liked.

I love Aerosmith! But....I don't like the "people"...just the music. I like loading the "tunes" to my MP3 and running a mountain trail...or rocking out when I'm painting a whole house....bored to death. Livens it up! :0) Otherwise, I do not want to run into famous people. I admire their talent from a distance.

I love Aerosmith’s music and would love to see a concert, but I’m not willing to go to these large, loud venues and spend all the money over a certain threshold either for a decent seat. Only to have to stand up half the night to see anything.

We much prefer the smaller venues too, and often go to Nashville or Birmingham to see what’s not available in our own city. It’s a nice get-away too.

My idiot cousin went to four Beatles concerts when we were young. My idiot cousin has been to 27 Paul McCartney concerts, all around the world. She once paid $1400.00 for one ticket in the fourth row center. My idiot cousin has an entire room in her home devoted to the Beatles, and has every imaginable piece of memorabilia. My idiot cousin is 66 years old and more fun than a barrel of monkeys. I love her dearly.

Well then I mustn't be quite an adult as I would probably be telling myself that life is short and that I should go. I still love to dance and enjoy good music despite my age. :'! Of course the cash would have to be available at the time.
