No. There is never a good place to hang a picture of a cow, especially near food or where people eat. Bad message in a variety of ways. I think you're getting sucked into hanging it there because you think the colors match with your space. Plus that "art" is too small for that wall. I would not hang "flat" art there, I would put something that has more depth and more visual interest whether that ends up being wood open shelves or an iron or wood thin shelving unit or a decorative piece that has some depth to it. No mirrors there either, that makes no sense.

You are missing a great opportunity to add a bit of color and texture to your room. The whole room doesn't need to be gray.

Don't see much in the way of a farmhouse vibe except maybe the apron sink and the wood chandy. The cow won't make it a farmhouse, but a barn!

I always like Renoir in a busy home area.. So soft, simple and easy to look at! It comes in the larger sizes too. With your wall space, you could put a shelf or some sort of console table below the picture to use as a server when company comes or as a place to display heirloom kitchen items you may own from family or dear neighbors in times past, etc etc.. You would want to put a bench? or a console table, that is narrow, beneath floating shelves so no one would run into them right out the door, probably. Even a bookcase for cookbooks, or soon to be, childrens toys & books, on an open shelf unit or toybox, might be a very nice addition to the area.

BTW, the best height to hang art that's not displayed over something like a desk or sofa is so the middle of the art is 60 inches from the floor. That's "eye level".

A vertical format is better than a horizontal. The wall is too narrow for that picture.

I agree with others that some colorful art would be so nice. You might then consider an interesting storage chest of some sort to ground the art and be used for the baby’s toys, books and blankets. Not knowing your preferences very well ( you mentioned farmhouse and the room has very contemporary counter stools ) , the following are just for inspiration. You could go eclectic with something like this charming rustic piece or more contemporary. A cabinet could double as a server for when you are entertaining.

Agree, no to the art there and you and your baby bump are adorable... Have you thought about an arrangement of antlers for the 3 dimensional look to give you a farmhouse feel to your already beautiful space. Not necessarily in that spot but somewhere else possibly. Best of luck.

If you want a standing piece of furniture there under open shelves, like some sort of sideboard piece, you could make that work. But I wouldn't put a bench there, no one is ever going to sit there so that makes no sense.
