The pics look like they are the correct way up from mobile devices even after they have posted. Looking from an iPhone or iPad everything looks perfect. Then you jump on the laptop and realize pics are sideways. This has been happening to a bunch of people. I look on my phone (like now for example), and see a thread where everything looks perfect - then I jump on the laptop later and see all the photos are sideways. So no, nothing you can do in a preview. It's a glitch between iPhone (and maybe other devices??) and Gardenweb.

the water control underneath (retro) sounds good as a separate project. trying to ensure the slope through the whole thing is good, and all the complexity, we can use corrugated fiberglass underneath the move the water away... i'm looking at interlocking slate tiles (see link). its a floating floor, we can use their wood interlocking tiles around the edge for ease of cutting. how do we "be very sure the existing frame is worth all the trouble"? and weight. thanks again. Bill_vincent, I have a question regarding the picture you posted. I'm getting ready to have a contractor redo my master bath and shower. He mentioned onyx base or tile base but said he'll have to buy the kit for the tile which is what I decided. From your picture, it doesn't look like you bought a shower pan kit, rather just used the same stuff that goes on the wall. Am I seeing this correct? Or am I missing something. I think he said the kit is about $500 plus the tile and work. He's done lots of work in my house and I never had any issues so I usually just go with what he says, but your pic has me scratching my head wondering why he doesn't just do something similar. ... On man I'm already editing my post. Did I just have a blonde moment I'm wondering... Looking at your pic maybe you did use some type of shower base kit lol I don't know...
