Anyone have Maytag Performance Series Front Load Washer/Dryer?
Comments (2)HI atct86, I have the performance 300 washer and drier since April and I am very happy with them. Nice solid machines that clean clothes very well. Did not go with the steam option so I can not help with that. Bought mine at Home Depot and they delivered and set up machines at no charge....See MoreDoes your front loading washer have a filter?
Comments (25)Thank you SO MUCH again dadoes! Me & my BF opened the pump protector. ( I didn't realized that's the pump protector is the same thing with debris filter! Lol.) Surely there is a lot of items we found in there! Nail cutter, metal screws (that causes rust stains) rocks, hair tie & clips. Now I understand how important to check pockets before throwing clothes in the washer! I cleand & sanitized the heck out of it!! It looks like the monthly sanitize cycle was not been done for a long time also. A lot of debris came out of the drum little holes too! They didn't have the manuals so I doubt it. so I printed it from website and learned how to run the sanitize cycle. It looks like it's running fine & no flashing light error. Now, the question is, if it's been abused in the past, although I will do great care for it now, would it still hold up for many more years? I guess only time can tell...How bad could have been affected from the past users who didn't take good care of it! Not sure how old it is and how long they had it. .....See Moretopper for front load washer dryer sets
Comments (4)My own experience with a flat top for storage of detergent and other laundry items is that they will move around and fall off or fall over when the washer and dryer are running. I guess it depends on the washer and how much vibration you have, but I like things corralled in a basket. I have even taped the basket down in the past, but that is not necessary with my current washer. If the topper is suspended off the washer it should not be a problem. My friend has her large shelf hanging from the wall with cables so it can be lifted up for service....See MoreThe new front loading washers and dryers
Comments (50)Well ... As the saying goes "The old grey mare ain't what she used to be".. The same goes for top loading washing machines, the ones with agitators. There are new "Government" regulations and the new top loaders do NOT fill up like the old ones used to. I forget exactly what the limit is, something like 14" of water. That seems like it would be hard on clothes and you would have to break the loads up into smaller ones. I have Samsung from loaders and I am very pleased with them. Someone here said theirs takes 2 hours to wash a load... I have never used a cycle that took that long. Mine has a "quick wash" cycle and you can choose from light, normal and heavy. The light takes about 27 minutes, the heavy is 33 minutes. I have not found anything that does not get perfectly clean on the 33 minute cycle. At any point during the wash I can "pause" it, open the door and add additional clothes. Also, if it doesn't have quite as much water as you think it should, or want all you do is push pause, when the door unlocks open it, then shut it and push the continue button and it adds more water, you can do this as many times as you want. I rarely add more water unless it is a bigger, bulkier load such as my mattress pad. Picking a new washer is a huge headache.......See Moretqtqtbw
