It looks close! I'd move the dresser towards the door a bit, centering it on the wall more; move the bedside table under the window next to the bed; move the bed a bit to the side so it isn't under the window; and turn the armoire so that it faces the bed, centered between the wall and window.

I find it interesting that you don’t have nightstand or night lamp right by the bed, not that you have room in present layout. It’s pretty full of furniture. Which brings me to next comment:

if you have a full wall of closets, do you really need storage provided by armoire, and dresser? Edit down if you can.

I’d center bed to wall, even if it encroached on window. I’d center armoire to other wall, rather than position at an angle. I’d relocate dresser to another room, even though I suspect that’s not an option. Finally, I’d place nightstand next to bed.

Unfortunately I do need both the armoire and dresser. My husband and I use both.

I will move furniture around a bit and post more pics.

Oh so it’s a couples bedroom. I don’t know why I assumed it was a single person’s room. I see now where you need all the storage for 2.

becplatts advice to switch dresser location with bed & stand is good. Again, pieces centered to walls, even if encroaching on window a little bit.

I think for the most part it works. I would move the bed over a few inches to clear the window, put the night stand next to the bed near where the armoire currently is and move the armoire next to the window where the nightstand is now.

Not a professional but, for me, the bed overlapping the window would make me crazy. Our master is tiny and our furniture over large (thanks, husband) so what we did was move the dressers (yes, we have two - why, I don't know) into a different bedroom that is now effectively my "closet". Would it be possible to move a piece or two to another room? Yes, that means someone would have to be inconvenienced (or someone gains a whole room as a closet) but it might work better for you.

gigi, Once the kids go to college, I'll use their rooms. Until then, I'm stuck!

Is it possible to move the bed to the other wall with the window? Or possibly angle the bed in the room in the corner and then have the armoire flat against the wall next to it and a side table on the other side?

Beds need to be positioned so that your feet are pointing toward the entry way into the room (if you were laying down in it). So it looks like it's on the wall it should be. I would just center it on that wall, and then I would do the old Rebecca Robeson trick and get a mirror the same size as the window and hang it on the other side to "balance" the wall. I would hang window treatments over each "window" for symmetry. And then you need two nightstands for each side of the bed. Then don't put pieces of furniture at an angle in a corner. Move that dresser flat onto a wall and get rid of that little table by the window.
