Paint Design Dilemma Kitchens

Paint color suggestions to coordinate with White Fantasy granite.

We are remodeling our kitchen and installing white shaker cabinets with White Fantasy granite and a subway tile backsplash. The flooring is terrazzo with gray/brown/icy blue/taupe flecks. We were unable to get a sample of the White Fantasy granite and the granite place does not have the slabs in stock yet. As soon as possible we would like to paint the kitchen, dining room and living area a mid-tone gray that would look great with the granite. We are hoping to use the paint to add some contrast to the rooms. Does anyone have any paint suggestions?

Hope you have a solid color planned for the backsplash as with the floors and the granite there will be alot of movement going on in your kitchen perhaps? Very pretty when it's done!

Thanks! Unfortunately the link is not working. Do you remember the color? The problem is we would like to start painting but don't have access to the granite yet.

Alyssa987 - I had Dallas White on my list for a short time because it was a lighter granite but it wasn't one that I loved and swooned over. The granite yards near me don't seem to carry a lot of white granites, so I haven't been able to see ones like White River or Colonial White in person. I read about staining issues with Kashmir White so I immediately took it off my list. It's tough because the different granite yards call the same granite different names.

I think Sea Salt or Comfort Grey by Sherwin Williams would look beautiful. We have both of these colors in our beach condo and they are gorgeous. They have a hint of green/blue and grey depending on lighting. We are putiing comfor grey in our bathroom with the fantasy brown granite. We are putting fantasy brown in our kitchen too. In our kitchen we are doing Fawn Brindle which is a neutral but has a slight green undertone. I'm hoping it will go nicely with the granite. The shade below is called Ethereal Mood, it's really pretty too. I was torn on the two.

Here's the little square swatch on top of the counter. We definitely aren't afraid of using color or repainting, but cabinets is a lot of work so we will probably just continue the Medici Ivory trim paint over most of the kitchen and reserve a muted olive for the island as an accent only.

Hey! Did you ever choose a wall paint color to go with the fantasy white countertops? We are doing fantasy white in our kitchen and trying to decide on a paint color.
