Comments (4)Thanks everyone. I frequent lowes all the time (75% off!!) of the distressed plants section. I've gotten stuff from $1.00 to .50 and sometimes they cut me a break. I've had success with everything except for this Bristol Raspberry which has a stalk that keeps dying off. weird. @dirtygardener - I'll check craigslist. thats an excellent idea. I always find seedlings in the plant pots at Lowes and Home Depot but feel like it would be considered as stealing. Seeds are a good idea but I guess some seeds are sterile? I have no luck with cuttings outside of ones that root in water only. @pnbrown The wax myrtles look great. I was thinking at first they were a crape myrtle type bloom (which, honestly speaking, i am so sick of seeing now) They are everywhere! @scentsfromheaven - thanks for the lists. Once I start my internship I think I can start back with some light purchasing. But first I need a tiller. I'm tired of hand tilling....See MoreGARDENING ...Getting ready for fall in Florida.
Comments (4)You will likely get more reponses if you were to post this on the appropriate exchange forum :-) Not sure how many gardeners that focus on containers will have a lot to share or exchange............See MoreDays to Maturity in Central Florida 9b Fall Garden
Comments (0)I've noticed that plants put in in late summer/ early fall, grow more slowly than the same ones started in spring. (shortening day length? too hot?) Can you tell me how to estimate days to maturity for fall planted vegies? I apologize if this is a duplicate. I posted a similar question a few days ago, but now I can't find it....See Moredirtygardener
