soooo many light switches ...

My living, kitchen, and dining are all very open, along with the foyer. I have switches for recessed lighting, fans, chandeliers, pendants, porch lights etc... and I have only a handful of good places to put switches that work with entering the room. One wall could end up with 5-6 switches... which is fine but I was curious if the world of technology has brought us anything better and reliable for something like this? I’m typically old fashioned and a basic switch is fine by me but 6 switches (some with dimmers) seems excessive and I’m sure it won’t look very good. I can’t describe exactly what I’m thinking of... maybe like a tablet? The idea of technological glitches stresses me out... lol I just want to be able to control the lights and fans without flipping switches like I’m preparing for a rocket launch in my home LOL
