I love daylilies. Mine are mostly gone now except for a few re-bloomers, but this was one of the last blooms.

An old Daylily from back before the scent was bred out of them. This is Hyperion. It smells heavenly. I don't even have to be able to see it to know that it is in bloom.

Cacapon St. park, BeekleySpeings, WV, cabin the kids are staying in, a bit rustic, but that’s what they like!

Igmd_gaz, I know what you mean about flower scents. While many of today's flower varieties are stunning visually, they lack the scents I remember from my childhood. I particularly miss the heady almost like fine wine scent of old fashioned roses and the sweet, spicy, kind of peppery scent of carnations.

Lmgd, I have Hyperion also, given to me by a DL friend. Mine also has scent.

Crimson Flood, very pretty. I often wonder how they come up with some of the names given to new cultivars. The look of some flowers give no clue about the name given to it. Do they just throw a bunch of suggestions in a hat and draw one?

I don't know the names of these.
