I have a large sample of White Dove here, and a small chip of Old Praire (I have the BM deck). They do look good together. It looks like enough contrast . It does not look like you were trying to match the cab colour, but missed (I think Swiss Coffee might have looked like a miss). Hopefully we will hear back from Lori. I am curious if she still recommends a crisper white like Cotton Balls, expecially after seeing the warmth in the counter and floor. I have found this post educational and am always glad to hear what Lori has to say on colours. Carol

I am looking for 2 tone kitchen cabinet, Thanks a ton for above thread, upper could be PPG Dedicate white and lower equivalent to BM Hale Navy, would you please help to find equivalent of BM's Hale Navy on PPG, I checked Cavalry & Annapolis Blue both are near to that but I am not sure, if those are accurate. Ceiling : PPG Dedicate White, Trim - PPG Dedicate White , Counter - White & Grey Granite, Cabinet : Upper Fixture : PPG Dedicate White, Lower : BM Hale Navy equivalent., Island : BM HN, South Facing large open concept Kitchen with Family Room, Breakfast Nook : PPG Whiskers equivalent to Agreeable Grey. My builder uses strictly Sherwin Williams and will be color matching the 2 or 3 BM colors that I chose. I've never seen a Sherwin Williams match to BenM's Super White that I thought was good enough to call it "match". You may have a different opinion - you might love the custom match. But I recommend you stipulate in your contract that you have to approve the SW color match to Super White and if they can't match it to your satisfaction, then he's going to have to get it from Benjamin Moore. I only want one crisp white for all the trim in the whole house(except where it will make my cabinets look dingy) I can only speak to the comparison of White Duck to the original BenM Super White, not the SW color match. There is a generous difference in terms of Chroma between the two colors. That means it's unlikely either will make the other look dingy. Ok you color guru’s does the White Duck and Edgecomb Gray work together? They're very similar. White Duck is slightly lighter and more neutral, less colorful. Edgecomb is the darker of the two and has more color. They're most similar in terms of hue family. You're either going to love it or you're not. In certain low light moments you might not be able to tell they're two different colors.

We closed on our house today wahoooo! I only got to spend about an hour there but looked quickly at the samples for trim/doors/ceilings. I think I've narrowed it down to three possibilities: BM Simply White, SW Extra White and BM Super White. I thought about BM Chantilly Lace too. Basically, looking at the finishings, my first gut is that BM Simply White looks the best. I just worry it may look too yellow once up on everything. At least that's what I read (and you know how reliable the internet is). First question: has anyone had experience with BM Simply White? Does it just read warm or do you see the yellow in it when it's one trim/doors/ceilings? So I may go that direction, or wonder if I should go with a cleaner white but something close. Something still a little warm... As for the runners up, from what I can see SW Extra White and BM Super White are very similar but Extra White maybe looks a little warmer? Maybe because it has more chroma? Is this understanding accurate, Lori A. Sawaya?? And it seems to me that the order of warmth would go SW Extra White, BM Super White, BM Chantilly Lace... is that a correct reading? Again for context - East/West exposures with a lot of shade. Wall colors aren't chosen but would likely be something along the lines of BM Edgecomb Gray, BM Ballet White, BM Chelsea Gray, BM Natural Cream. Daughter's room will be BM Opal. I'll try to take some pics of the finishings tomorrow but would love any thoughts on this. Thanks!
