Comments (9)The Lyndhurst White is in a 12-14 gal. pot. The LSU Gold is in a 5 gal. pot. I've not heard that about figs liking cramped roots. When my potted figs "outgrow" (roots get dense and start "circling" the pot) the pots I have them in I move up to a larger pot. Comments (6)Ciao Martin, just one more night of 45 degrees overnight. Then going back into the high 50's and 60's at night. I was sooo upset, I had a few nice figs ripening and they fell off I think due to the cold. They came right off overnight. All my little babies that are rooting and have rooted but still too young are inside in the kitchen, where it is very warm. What is going on???? its really hit or miss weather here in Northeast when it comes to fig growing. Either you get a good summer or you don't, it doesn't seem like there is happy medium. Us fig growers really have to pray for our crop as apposed to other more cold hardy plants which thrive here and doesn't need alot of heat or sun. But I will continue to carry on.
