So we all know I am OCD with my lawn as a lot of you are on here, well I had to share. I was driving to work and there's this house on the hill that every spring get's some weird fungus its HUGE circles, Idk what the heck it is but its bad. and he usually treats and and looks somewhat better this yr, it left big brown patches, drove by yesterday I had to turn around to see if my eyes were playing tricks on me, HE PAINTED HIS LAWN GREEN! Ha Ha, && it looks like Shi@ , it's all streaky, and looks Fake.. smh I can't believe what some will do!

lol Painting your lawn is not as uncommon as you might think, stupid as it is. I don't suppose a photo is in the making?

We need photos! And yes, Californians often do this. It's far less common on the east coast, where we realize that lawns are not July and August creatures unless watered and cared for. :-)

LOL thanks Anne! I don't have a problem catching them, they are used to me. How many do you want?? LOL C&J, my best guess is a neighborhood full of them right now. Gary, I'm south of you, in the Keys. We also have a neighborhood croc that lives in a neighbor's back yard. You want her? It's always something, isn't it? Dana, I'm excited for you! I lived in an old farmhouse in the middle of cornfields and you can bet I had a hard time attracting hummers to my yard, but I kept planting bird-attractive plants (flowers, shrubs, and trees) and provided water sources and low and behold, after 8 years, I finally got my first hummer! They were regular visitors for the remaining 10 years I lived there. Enjoy, and I'll do a happy dance for you! :)

I wish he would stop having people on who are obviously seriously mentally ill and then make fun of them. I'm ashamed of him when his shows are so overtly sensational, with zero positive meaning. I rarely watch this guy anymore....he does little to resolve problems and comes across, to me, as icky. I watched the show today. This dog man seemed like a sweet soul, harmless, and lost. Bless his parents for setting him up with a trust fund and his own home. Phil the shill clearly found him repugnant and the man did not deserve that kind of treatment. I have often felt like Phil and his staff do more harm than good, other than sending the drug addicts off for several months of high end rehab.

I knew of people painting their mulch beds but not thier lawn lol

I am in the carpet capital of the world and theres a few businesses that have the artificial turf and it looks nice..Especially in the middle of winter.Its hard to tell its fake!

When I moved to George West, TX my lawn had a huge fungal circle. It was so big I could not see it from the ground, but I could see it from the Google Earth pictures.
If you stood in the yard all you saw was the deep green grass growing faster than the rest. Inside the circle the grass was sickly. Actually, outside the circle it was sickly, too. The only good grass was at the perimeter. Fungus can be crazy. Over the next couple of years the circle expanded until it enclosed the small tree in the middle of the yard. I had that yard transformed when I left, but the new owners have gone a different direction.
