I don't understand Amazon Prime!
Comments (47)Linelle, I don't know anything about Amazon Household. I'm the one with the Amazon account in my house. Usually dh just sends me a link to something on Amazon when he wants to order something, but he could easily log in using my username and password. My mom uses my Amazon account to watch videos on her iPad. I just logged into Amazon Prime on her iPad with my username and password, and she can now watch movies. She and my father have a regular Amazon account, and she doesn't usually need 2-day shipping but a couple of times when she needed something quickly, I have just ordered it for her. Her credit card number is saved in my account. I have an address book in Amazon with addresses saved for people I occasionally send gifts to (my relatives). When I place an order, you have the option to choose the method of payment and address for shipping so I just switch to my mom's credit card and address when she wants me to buy something for her. You could always do that with your daughter if she doesn't or can't set up a Household account, assuming you don't mind if she has your credit card saved in her account. Or, she could give you her log in information and you can just order things right from her account using your own credit card....See MoreAmazon Prime has all but disappeared.....a sort of rant I guess...
Comments (99)Madilee, I ordered from Chewy last week because we were running low on cat litter, and I also ordered enough to qualify for the 2 day shipping. Well, it's been almost a week and I still haven't gotten confirmation that it's being shipped. I tried to get it from Walmert-but they were out at my local store. Thought I'd try Amazon, but the only litter they had that my cats will use was not only more expensive than in the stores, but it also was about 10 days out. I had also ordered some canned cat food-they kind my cats prefer was out, so I had to get a 3rd choice. I ordered some baking soda for the cat boxes-since we can't empty them, just clean them out until we get more litter, and a case of strawberry jam, because I didn't feel like going to the grocery store. The canned food came within a day, the baking soda two days later-still no idea when the jam will arrive. Meanwhile hubby has PB & Honey sandwiches. I'd ordered a new desk chair since my old desk chair was not designed to be used for 8+ hours a day-oh my poor hind end! Amazon said it would arrive in 10 days (even though it was Prime) but it arrived 2 days later. I did order some outdoor toys for my grands through Walmart-a bounce house/ball pit, extra balls for the ball pit, and a covered sand table. They all said they'd deliver between 4/10 and 4/17. The balls showed up on Monday, and the sand table arrived yesterday. Still no idea when the ball pit will show up, I've not gotten a tracking # on that, but if I go back on the website it says if I order it to be delivered to the store it will be there in a week. I'm trying to be patient, I feel fortunate that I have the means to order things on line and I can pay a premium if necessary, but sometimes it does get frustrating. I'm unable to order normal groceries on line for either delivery or pick up. And Costco.com is sold out of almost everything I need. So I'm going to have to venture in to the store. But back to the OT, I have Prime and am ok with the delays. My Prime membership also includes free streaming, so that is worth it to us since DH is running out of shows on Netflix. Finally, GS-was it you who ran out of paper towels for pet messes? I purchased a couple dozen cheap bar towels for pet messes. We were going through a lot of paper towels when our cat with IBS was still alive, and it was my preference to do laundry rather than throw out so much paper. Costco often carries them, and in a pinch you can get them at Walmart as well. Check Amazon, too. I just ordered two dozen plain cloth reusable 'paper' towels off Etsy to use in my kitchen. I have a roll that are flannel & terry that are getting so worn out-we use them all the time....See MoreI finally 'discovered' Amazon Prime
Comments (27)I order from Amazon a lot. I used to use it only for the quick shipping but I recently started occasionally using Prime Video. Sometimes I'll order from Walmart(dot)com. Usually I can do better there when ordering non-perishable grocery items. I'm on a budget so I compare prices. If it costs more to order online than walking into Walmart, I walk into Walmart and get it. Paying more for the convenience, or having to tip for a Walmart grocery delivery, doesn't fit into my budget. I'd love it if Amazon would extent Amazon Fresh into my area. I was hoping the pandemic would nudge them into it but it has not. Amazon prices (even when sold by Amazon) can vary anywhere from a really good deal to an absolute ripoff so I sometimes make use of the 3 camel Firefox addon to notify me when an Amazon listing drops to the price point I specify: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/the-camelizer-price-history-ch/ When/if Walmart finally goes back up 24 hours, I'll likely return to my old routine. Shop often, just getting a handful of items, whatever looks good at the time. Late at night they were never busy. This town is rat-racy right up until... 10 PM or so but then it's dead, which I love....See MoreBefore this week’s Amazon Prime Days...
Comments (55)Bunny! 😂 I was asking my DH the same thing, nearly word for word. It’s so gross. I do dry my teeth first, but that just helps with the initial application. I actually start salivating before I even open the package. 😬 I will say — I’ve noticed a difference after a week of it. My problem is coffee and wine, and it’s working great on those. I’m so happy with the results ... just not being Drooly McDroolMouth every morning for 30 minutes....See More- 7 years ago
