It would help if you posted some inspiration pictures that you like and some examples of inspiration pictures that are not what you want (I'm sure there are many others like me who do not know what distinguishes "woodsy" from "rustic"). And if you have you made any other finish decisions (floor, walls, etc.), please post pictures of those too. It's hard to recommend a cabinet decision in a total vacuum without context.

As it is, the only somewhat complete information you have posted is the floor plan. Do you want feedback on the floor plan? There are many aspects of it that are not ideal. For example:

• This is not a home that is set up well to allow for cross breezes. The bedrooms could easily have windows on two walls but do not. The doors/windows in the living areas are not remotely aligned with openings on the other side of the house.
• Your dining area is unusable. To begin with, it is a tiny dining space (8' x 8.5'), which is too small for all but a 30"-36' bistro table in the center on a good day accounting for adequate space around the table for chairs, bodies, and scootching (scooching?) in and out of the table. But then you have to factor in the huge bite the inward-swinging french doors take out of the space and the fact that the dining area is also where traffic will be going to and from the main deck and to the pantry and to the closet, which means you have to allot at minimum 3' of that dining area for a walkway for that through traffic and the pantry/closet door swings. Even if you just had the walkway issue and not also the giant french door swing issue, your dining area would only 5' wide in practice at best. A five-foot-wide dining area will fit a small two-person table shoved against the wall only. Except that two of the three walls in that dining area have doors in them, so there is only one wall to shove your dining table against, and in that spot, one of the two people at the table will be hit by the french door swing.
• The kitchen is going to be a major bottleneck. It is only 8.5' wide, which means the walkway through it will at its narrowest be less than 42" wide if you get a standard fridge and account for the oven handle sticking out. 42" is the minimum space, really, for one cook to move around. It is not enough space for someone to be cooking plus space all through traffic to the bathroom, bedrooms, and outside.
• Both bathrooms, the kitchen, and the washer/dryer are landlocked (meaning they are not on exterior walls). This is not ideal for venting or light purposes. You'll have to vent through the roof in all cases, but that is a longer HVAC run (which vents less well) and makes it much harder to clear out the dryer vent. And without natural light and air, the bathrooms will likely always have mildew issues. Not to mention the fact that natural light is generally pleasant.
• You are losing a lot of square footage to super long, inefficient walkways.
• The kitchen sink should be shifted away from the range to maximize the size of your prep counter between the two, and the dishwasher should be moved to the other side of the sink so it is not in your prep space. This allows someone to load/unload the dishwasher while someone else is cooking.
• There isn't much in the way of closets/storage outside the bedrooms. In a small place like this where clutter would really cramp the space, you're really going to need good storage for linens, extra supplies, lake gear, etc.
• There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason with window placement with regard to the view. I would assume the best view is on the side of the house where the living room and master are facing. But if that is the case, why block half of that view in the living room? And why doesn't the dining area have a window on that side too? Is there a nice view on the main deck side as well?

Well we had a 1969 small single wide trailer on the lot which is at a dead end rural road. The new small house will be replacing the trailer. The acre lot is not on the lake .... the lot has quite a few trees our house will be somewhat elevated ( up on a slight hilltop but still no lake view ) the lake is just a short way down the road ( 15 minute walk ) ( 3 to 5 minutes drive ). Yes I have a kitchen designer who has made several changes to the kitchen including counter space rearrange and other great things. We know it’s small however it’s what we can afford. We just finished the extremely large boat garage that nice shelves and has a lot of extra storage for larger items. that I would not have to keep inside the house. We really don’t need much there. Just a few extra clothes and the basics. I do have creative ways of storing items and setting things up to maximize the space. I have had lots of years of professional staging training and I had good practice in the old trailer that was there! Plus I do a lot of home staging for my work. There have been other small adjustments made in both bathrooms. We are screening in the large patio to use as additional outdoor living space with a small 2 seat hot tub and our grill and some smaller sized patio table. We spend a lot of time on the outdoor patio ( the trailer had a screened in outdoor patio that was really small )! We have been planning this build for 5 years. I plan on using very high quality materials for numerous things there and some items I know I can find that won’t need to be super pricey. Oh we elimiated some doorways and traded that space for windows. Or nothing at all and we added some things but my builder has the mocked up new plan . I just posted the picture from my I phone file mainly to give an idea of the style. The exterior colors will be different to match the new garage. I can look for a photo in my I phone of the garage to post...... as I scrolled through my inspiration saves I decided to go with white cabinets and i think thermagoil material will last a long time there and white will be very versital in the long run. I decided I just will have a transitional style. I will post some transitional kitchens that are attractive to me. Mine may not be the exact colors or have the exact things in them except the photos are only photos of the style I like

We took away the French doors and added sliding door plus on the folder door it shows we put s pocket door. This house will be more then double the size of our old trailer so we feel pretty darn blessed! And the bedrooms do have windows .... I don’t mind the bathrooms not having windows..... it would be nice except of all the floor plans online this was the one which I felt would look good on the lot and also not be too over the top for the rural road. ( our lake road has mainly trailers ) some new some not so new. Directly across the road from us is a huge huge lake house it’s built on a down slope ..... our lot is the prettiest on the road I cannot remember all the many changes we did to our plan except I think it will be ok. Yes we do spend a lot of time there year round usually no more then 7 days tops and we like being close together .... it’s just my husband and I and our doggie - my grown married kids will use it separately from us. There are cabins ON the lake 5 minutes away - if they do come up with us they can stay there like they have in the past and we meet up for boat time and a steak dinner out

Here are some that I found. We do not want over 1200 sq ft. And one or two of these plans has 3 bedrooms so according to our builder we can only have two bedrooms but can have a study or flex area also we have to have 2 baths both can have showers only as long as there is a back or side patio for a small hot tub

Bri where did you find the plan you posted as reference? It looks like it’s more then 1200 sq ft ....? I can hire a plan designer if needed. I already spent 800 on the plans I purchased
