This is the last thing I made- a child's hooded bath towel. I needed a donation for the Chinese auction at a family reunion

I have been collecting, pressing and drying flowers to use in jewelry designs as well as making jewelry from leaves I gathered last fall.

I'm also preparing some photos to enter in a photo competition. I've never entered a photo contest (not entirely true - years ago I got an honorable mention in a pet calendar contest sponsored by one of the big pet food manufacturers and won a case of dog food) so I'm interested to see how my photos do in a competition. It'll be a good learning experience for me.

My project has been making "masculine" cards for a swap I was in.

Nothing so arty or adorable. I've been working on finishing the tackroom, plumbing, electric and stalls of our new barn. And on top of that, our tenants complained that their shower faucet was leaking around the handles, and the leak had been getting worse lately. When I went to look at it, and the leak must have been going on for some time, since the drywall behind the tile around the shower controls was gone, I pushed on one loose tile and it fell into the wall and down into the crawlspace.

In the end I needed to remove all of the tile, and drywall in the shower area, remove the tub, and the rotted subfloor beneath it, and the entire stub wall between the shower and the sink. I had to sister new joists to the partially rotted floor joists, replace the subfloor, re-set the tub, rebuild the stub wall, redo all of the plumbing, drywall everything, spackle, prime, and install a new glue-on tub surround.

I've been working on this nautilus chair pad. I do traditional rug hooking, cutting strips of woolen fabric and pulling loops through a backing (in this case cotton monks cloth) with a simple hook. The spiral design has been a learning experience--a "learning curve," you might say. :-) I thought it would be a lot easier than it has been, but I think it'll look decent when it's done.

I was big into colouring and crocheting last year and kind of hit a wall with both a few months ago. I will be off work starting Friday for 10 days while my husband recovers from surgery, so I'll be picking both hobbies back up again while he's on the mend.

I also love to take pictures and have been making him leave the house the last few weeks, to go for walks. Today we're going to a huge car show. I'll take my camera to see if there is anything interesting to take pictures of. I'm not a car show fan, but I like the walk. It's a HUGE car show so there's a lot of walking involved. lol

I have a scarf to finish knitting (where is that thing?), and I will. It’s almost done. It’s the hitchhiker pattern and the final rows are long and boring.

I’m not very creative but I did make a sock snowman for my granddaughter at Christmas. Cute and easy.

I’m replacing the glides on my dining room chairs when they come in the mail.

I want to take the paint off the wood and put new canvas on it so I can use it in the house. I also have a little folding chair -stool that I think was for sitting on in the woods but the perfect size for a footstool for the directors chair. That needs stripping and new canvas too.These will go in my upstairs bedroom.

I'm truly envious of all the talent shown here! I keep thinking some day I'll take up a hobby that creates beautiful items....

I have been crocheting an afghan for hubby for when he sits in front of the computer. That is on cooler days. It's a chevron design in chocolate brown and lime green

I am working on rugs. I have 6 of them sold and I have to get them done. Also a little bit of crocheting.

I painted several rocks today...it's very hot and it's nice to spend time in my craft room which is much cooler on the lower level. While I was there, I see I have some sleeves and hems to shorten.

I remember that little poem, Annie! It was a little different, but my grandmother use to sing it to me as a child. You helped bring back memories. I would love to see a picture of your painted rocks, I bet they are beautiful.

Alisande, thank you! When we bought the house it was yellow painted brick. We covered it with travertine tiles.

Provogal, no wonder I like it! I have such fond memories of working at Lincoln Center many years ago, and the building was made of travertine.

I am knitting a cute baby cardigan for no one in particular. I am waiting for son's friends to have their baby. DIL has asked me to crochet a blanket for them that I like to make that uses bobble stitches to spell out the baby's full name and birth date in squares that are borderd by bobbles. Then I border the top and bottom rows of squares with either hearts, sail boats, or little cars.

Love seeing all the great projects everyone is working on. I am always working on my Genealogy hobby. I love working on enlarging the family trees for family and friends. There is always a mystery to solve! When not doing that I love to garden and read too.

I am working on a scrapbook. I love scrapbooking, I wish I had more time to work on it.

You guys are doing really creative/fun (to me) stuff; I love seeing it all! Thanks to Thistledew—and to this thread (which was a great topic, btw)—we now know who has what talents/interests and that could be a great resource for us all as we tackle our own projects, don’t you think?

I’m working on that too, ghoghunter. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it), it’s a project without a finish line! And sure enough, I’m in the thick of trying to solve a huge mystery right now!
