anyone know where I can buy custom made circular needles?
Comments (12)Hee hee.. I made myself some circular knitting needles... don't know how it will work, but, I am laughing at myself as I write.. 1. I disconnected some #1 metal circular needles from their cord. 2. With a dremel, I shaped the other (not the knitting ends) of the needle so it would slip into a small wire tube 3. Bought some plastic pony bead stringing tubing that has a very small hole, and stuck both needles in real tight.. Voila.. a circular needle.. size 1, length 11 inches! :-) When I go to Home Depot, I'm going to look for some stiffer wire.. this tubing is sorta flimsy.. Where there's a will, there's a way! :-) Pat...See MoreAnyone made grommet drapes?
Comments (1)Grommet drapes are easy to make. - decide on the length and width of your drape. The width should be 1 1/2 to 2 times the width of the window. Add a double 4 inches at the top and a double 3 inches for the hem. - sew in a piece of drapery header tape (4" wide) across the top and fold over twice and sew down. - sew in the hem the same way minus the header tape. - space the grommets evenly across the top, make sure there is an even number of grommets (very important) -trace the inner circle of the grommet, cut out circle. -place the grommet on circle and snap together. These directions are usually on the back of the package. If it is hard to get the grommet to snap together tap it with a rubber mallet. Hope this helps. Comments (5)I was in the same situation. My cabinets has a hickory veneer so I didn't find anyone that could make doors. So I'm going with aluminum frame glass doors for the reach-in pantry. They can make any height doors up to 80" I think. Some cabinet companies make doors too. But the brand we went with didn't make doors. Its the door version of this. Ignore the part on the right....See Morechloenkitty58
