We need paint colour advise for our open concept living and dining rooms combination and hall facing the rooms from foyer to upstairs to the library and to another set of stairs to one side of the bedrooms. We have beige sofa, love seat and off-white chair in the living room and dark wooden table, chairs and buffet and hutch. The chairs are covered with a tope/beige fabric. Why is one wall black? Are you allowed to paint? If so, paint all walls a nice light neutral. Get rid of those two brown chairs (or relocate to another room). They are too big for the space and there is no way to watch TV while sitting in them. Hang the tv on the wall at eye level when you are sitting on the couch and get a long low console to put under the TV. Get the bookcase out of that corner (you can possibly relocate some books to the new TV console). Put a slim end table with a lamp or a floor lamp where the bookcase is instead. You need better lighting than what is coming from the overhead ceiling fan (which I'm assuming can't be changed) and that could be achieved with the right lamps. None of your furniture really says "modern industrial" but you can go that direction with a new TV console and lamp and choosing a large industrial style artwork to go behind the sectional. Lastly, I would change your rug and coffee table if you have the budget.

One last thing, I'm of Mexican descent and we adore Mexican textiles, pottery and artisan works. I especially LOVE cobolts! thanks again!
