Be careful with shiny paint in this space. You want the walls to recede and make the room feel more spacious. I can imagine using the pearl in a powder room or in a tray ceiling for a dining room. (The pros may be able to explain the idea better than I can.)

Does it need to be a table? Could a live-edge shelf be used instead? It would echo the natural tree form of the coat rack and that silver finish would look just beautiful with glowing wood.

You have a great style! I really like how you’ve decorated. I love that magnificent umbrella stand and would absolutely keep it in the entry if you like it there. It’d be a great, eclectic look, very unique, bold — gives a wonderful first impression of your beautiful home. Best of all, it has sentimental value to you. Plus, umbrella stands are perfect in an entry way. Form and function. ;) I wouldn’t go too simple. Your umbrella stand would eat a little console for a midnight snack, while y’all sleep. :D And any small console will look overwhelmed and boring in that entry. Keep it fabulous, glam, elegant like your other rooms. I’d try it with the console closest to the front door and umbrella stand beyond that. You’ll see when you get a table in there what feels right, you’re clearly a talented decorator. And a lamp shining in there would look so lovely and cozy from inside and out. Lovely curves .... This is an interesting look — a mix of very traditional (your stand) with a more modern lined piece .... A gorgeous vintage Hollywood Regency console (on the Chairish site) .... Thanks! I've added and removed the bird/books. It's okay either way. I posted to Facebook and a designer friend commented, so I took the opportunity to ask her thoughts on the books/birdie and she said she loves them and gave them a thumbs up, so I'll leave them there for now. I'm really happy with the mirror size. It's dramatic but in a good way. BTW, the quality of the mirror is great; heavy, nice bevel, nice frame. 👍👍 I want to sit and admire it. To heck with other activities today. 🤣
