Well....not me but right after Mothers Day my son found a Whirlpool dishwasher on sale for I think 329.00...he bought it...for me.

I bought a bushel of granny smith apples (not locally grown) for 5$..

Found some cute tops like the pioneer woman wears at Walmart on clearance for 3 bucks..I got 3.

I ran in TJMaxx to look at the kids clothes on the clearance rack for next school year..I found a bunch of Nike shorts and shirts from 1dollar to 7dollars. Found 2 Steelers pull over hoodies for 3.50 each. One for each boy. Packages of socks 3 dollars and a buggy full of winter hats for boys 50 cents each so I bought them each 3. Super nice ski gloves 1 dollar so I bought them each 3 pair all the same so if they lose one it can be matched up.

Probably not fair to include this, but I just got $1100.00 of brand new IKEA bookcases and a dining table for only $13.71. I got a $1000.00 years of service bonus at work (tax free if used for tangible gift- not as cash or gift card.) IKEA had the bookshelves 20% off, and will deliver everything for only $59.00! We live 485+ miles round trip away from a store - so cheap delivery is a killer deal!

Saved on payroll taxes, 20% discount, cheap delivery! Whoo-hoo!

Ava....my house sold very fast! Then the price came down on this other one.....but it never had a final building inspection because of the weather....9 years ago....so I had to give the owner time to get it inspected & make any changes before closing...so I had to rent an apartment for a month. whew! Then the apartment/above a shop, was purchased a year ago by my DH's friend. We're it's 1st renters. No frig, washer & dryer or window coverings. :0)

Mamapinky I am going to head to TJMaxx tomorrow to look for those hats, socks and sweatshirts! I don't have little ones, but the local family shelter is always in need of children's clothing, especially hats and gloves. The elementary school down the street can use some for their emergency closet, too.

Forgot to mention I found a 33.8 ounce container of Rusk leave in conditioner there for 3 dollars. I like to use leave in conditioner on the boys in the summer and I really like Rusk. This will last them all summer. Also Burts Bees oatmeal dog shampoo, perfume free. 16 ounces for I think it was 2 dollars. And a 3 pk of readers for me for 5 dollars.

I only buy what I need or I know I'll use so everything I bought I needed including the orange slices of gummys. Lol

Well we saw on the local news that the red cross was going to be distributing some money to the most severely affected homes and owners in Harvey. The next day we got a text from the Red Cross asking questions and telling us we were probably going to get some money. We filled out the questions and we were just notified that we were going to get the full amount which is $2,000. We are thrilled! We are trying to replace all our things that were lost and this will help. We desperately need yard equipment, our John Deere lawn tractor and everything else was lost. The red cross was catching so much grief for not giving out any of the millions that was donated for the victims so that's why they are doing it.

That buried money is paying off lol.

I'm hoping to catch a few summer sales to fill out the kid's school clothes for the fall. Unless we have a cold winter again, we'll be wearing shorts 10-11 months out of the year. I found a few basic things at American Eagle for a pretty good deal. I need to go look around online and check out Ross.

Costco had some summer shoes/sandals in the $10-15 range today. I bought each child a pair. I hope they fit. Dd found a summer dress for $12 and some pants that are supposed to be capris. She is really short so they may be jeans on her.

Happy Hour today at a sushi place Lauren and I have been wanting to try. $15 total for spicy edamame appetizer and two sushi rolls.

I had to post this. My cousin bought a 49in LG smart tv and a XBox one game system on black Friday. She never hooked them up they are still in the boxes. I have no idea what she paid for them and she won't tell me. But wants to sell them to me for 20dollars (twentydollars). This has got to be the best deal I've ever had. Of course I accepted.

I didn't tell the boys yet. I'm waiting until pap walks in the door with it later today. It will be installed in the boys bedroom.

Mike just returned...he first carried in the boxed tv....the boys were like...oh cool but when Mike carried it to the boys room they flipped. A much bigger tv than they had. They were very pleased and decided to watch a movie after pap did the hook up. Pap ran to the van and carried another box that in big print said XBox One..both boys darn near fainted. LOL. Their own game system and no more using Amiees. Course they arnt watching a movie but instead playing super mario. LOL.

By the way my cousin sent me a little card saying she hoped the boys had a lot of fun playing the ga me system and she included a twenty dollar bill, the amount she ask for this stuff along with a 50 dollar XBox game card saying to buy the boys a game. So in actuallity I didn't find a great deal... It was a gift. So nice of my special cousin.

I can't figure out why she even bought them. I ask but she changed the subject. She wouldn't have bought them for herself I'm sure of that. I thought about this thread today when I found a great deal. A KMart about 15 minutes from me is closing and since I'm on the hunt for good deals on school clothes I headed there. I figured all the kids clothes would be picked over considering its 40 to 70 % off but wow the store was packed with stuff. Widh I would have been able bbq to buy more... but just for Chip(9) I got 8 tee's with characters and different stuff on them, 4 pairs of jeans, 3 shorts, 2 packs of 7 boxer briefs, 6 pk of white undershirts, 12 pk of socks, a Chicago Bulls book bag, a tee shirt and a hoodie with his school logo, 3 Polo Club short sleeved button up shirts all for 77$. I could not believe the great deal. I got Tim as almost the same sorts of stuff minus the jeans and book bag but found him a winter coat and his stuff came to 68$

wow! those are awesome buys! so good that the bargains were available to buy them up clothes. that is such an expense for kids.

I haven't found any good buys lately - but I don't get out to look for them either!

I'm still living in the land of "weird". I tried....tried being the key word.....to purchase an oil sensor and a package of 2" chrome body moulding. (sprucing up my old truck, gave it a quick spray can paint job too). The guy scanned the moulding, shrugged his shoulders when the price didn't come up, bagged it .......and didn't charge me for the $29.99 chrome body moulding. "head shake" IDK WWYD? Working on my truck just got cheaper......buuuuuuuut....I'm pretty sure giving it to me free wasn't how it should have gone down...

Oh how I miss Kmart! So many unmarked clearance items. It was a treasure hunt. $30 roomba $8 crockpot with 3 crock sizes, $13 Spot Bot, $5 heated towel rack, $20 ( marked $200) Schwinn bike. One time Penny’s had some type of glitch and random clearance items were ringing up for 25 cents. I didn’t read about it till that evening. I said to my daughter-surely that fixed it by now Not worth going. We sat down, then jumped up and left! We came hom with all kinds of stuff. No great deals like that lately. I did get 2 free bags of Oreida potatoes last week. It was National French Fry Day on Friday and Ibotta had them free at 2 stores.

I needed some black sandals and was having a hard time finding anything I liked. After wandering into Macy's, I spotted a pair of Clarks that were perfect except for the $89 price tag.

That was more than I wanted to spend, so I left Macy's and went into a small shoe store next door and they had the same pair of sandals on sale for $39 plus another $10 off at the register. $29 for these sandals sounds waaaaaaaay better than $89 to me!

Yesterday me and my dd went shopping for that perfect shower curtain for the apartment she is moving into this semester. We went to several stores and ended up at Kohls. We bought a shower curtain, liner, 3 bath towels, 2 hand towels, two bath rugs. Our total came to $48.00 and if we spent $50 we could get $10 off, so I added another bath towel. When we got home we looked at the receipt instead of getting the shower curtain for $23.00 we got it for $3.31!

Local Albertson's had frozen Honeysuckle turkey breast for 1.49/lb. I had to ask the guy in the meat department if they had any. He went in back and they had one. He did say he was overstocked on Butterball and their back freezer had way too many of them. He asked if I would take a few of those if he cut me a deal. .75/lb. I got four! :)

I found two pair of Gloria Vanderbilt slim-fit jeans for $8.99 each at Burlington. And I wasn't planning to even look at what Amazon had to offer for Prime Day, but last night just before bed I discovered one of their deals was the Fire Stick at 50% off ($19.99). I love my Fire Stick, and although it's easy to move it from TV to TV I'd rather give my upstairs TV one of its very own. So I did.
