Why do my tomatoes need so much water?!
Comments (5)Most anything can be grown in a pot. But I think most any plant will be more vigorous grown in the ground. Herbs are good ones for pots. I find pots are my best way to grow cilantro. But that's because I can bring it inside to try and delay bolting. I grow a lot of peppers in pots as well because I want to bring them inside over the winter without trying to dig them out of the ground. I also grow carrots because there are so many rocks around me that my options are either growing them in containers or building more raised beds than I can afford, or putting up with the consequences or rocky soil for carrots. Comments (3)tlbean, my MGs always come up in 2-3 days as well. I also start them indoors, I've found they slow down a little bit once they get 3-4 true leaves, I figure they're working on their root system perhaps? Congrats on all of your MG seedlings! If you grow anything else don't be discouraged when they don't sprout instantly like MGs! I always get spoiled with them and get impatient when other seeds take several weeks to germinate!...See MoreWhy does my plumeria have a seed pod before leaves are out?
Comments (9)Is it left over from last season? Maybe from an inflo that you kept on it during dormancy? That sounds like its possible... I have a seed pod on my J-105 from last year and it just " there" without any leaves as of now.. It will take another few months for it to mature. They say it takes around nine months for the pd to ripen... Leave it.. It not hurting anything.. It would be nice to see a pic of this pod. Sometimes they do pop up, but its usually after the flowers have been pollinated .. So lets see a pic and then we can determine what going on!! Have a great day!! Laura Sorry it's sideways.. That's just the way my day has Been going.. Ok. So trying to fix the other pic which was much clearer, I erased it from my iPad.. Ugh.. So I went outside bending over tons of plants to get this for you...lol It's not great,, but you get the idea..,...See MoreTo Much Light For My Violets??? Why R Crowns So Hard/Tight?
Comments (7)well I have only fed these violets like 2 times in over 1 year. Plain ol' Miracle-Gro for house plants. So I guess it is the lights. These lights are over 8 months old. Brand new they put out Max. light. At 6 months, they put out much less light, and that is with the lights down at the lowest level. These are at the highest level. AeroGrow seeds packages won't even grow with bulbs this old. They need to be replaced at 6months, or the seeds don't sprout, let alone produce veggies or flowers. Thought violets needed a lot of indirect light. This seems like very indirect light,....but,...some violets love these lights, others grow like this....See MoreLoveplants2 8b Virginia Beach, Virginia
