Hello... I apologize for not responding sooner. Here it is October 5th already...geez...don't you hate that! Sorry. Well...jyyanks...thanks for sharing your experiences. Sounds like nothing went right for you with your Ikea experience. When I was there, we were looking for a recliner and really weren't expecting to see one at Ikea, but they did have one and so we sat in it. OMG it was awful. It was so uncomfortable. But really I felt you could tell just by looking at their upholstered furniture that it was not only uncomfortable but not well made. So I just crossed that type of purchase off the list of what I would consider getting at that store. I'm sure I learned the same lesson you learned at IKEA, at some other similar store earlier. I also ruled out a lot of the textiles because they are so modernistic and I am not at all. I am more country/traditional, so you can imagine most of their stuff would be a leap for me. I did find their cabinetry did appear to have some features that I found appealing and innovative. But then I realized that all of their tall wardrobes are 93" tall and none of them would fit in our house...lol. So, I guess that isn't leaving a lot for me to find there. lnmca....I am going to read the link you provided and keep reading about what others experiences have been with them. I do like to know the facts and not just go with my first impressions. One last thing though...I found that what appealed to me about the company was what seemed like their attempt to try to go 'green', what with their eco friendly 'green roof' on their building and the attempt to use renewable resources to make their products, and I still do find that to be applauded, but...after seeing the menu in the cafeteria there and finding there are limits to how much information you can get on some products materials, I sense there is some contradiction there and/or a very narrow view of what is 'green'. Clayton Markus is produced at Rowe's factory, and quality is really no better than a Rowe sofa, so I suggest taking CM off your list. If your mother likes the sofa and chairs, then all you need to do is find a reputable upholster in your area. The re-upholster should have fabric samples to choose from and also can determine the condition of the fame and springs. Or you can buy your fabrics at a local fabric shop or online and most upholsters will work with your fabric. Hi all, just a note more to vent then anything. Just viewed the bankruptcy case for our friend Trevor and BC, I am sick to my stomach. There are over 400 names on the list of who he owes. I think he needs to be put in a very lonely cell and do some very heavy soul searching. If anyone has anything that will help with this case please call Det. Holland asap there are numerous people who are filing to revoke the bankruptcy, this needs to be stopped and he needs to be held accountable for his actions, most of the people named in this case are inviduals or small contractors or private parties. I see no large developers listed, so he took care of the big boys and screwed all the little guys, he should be in politics. So the date for the case to be viewed is March 23 at 1:30 Az. time. We need to get all our ducks in a row and list all info we have on them, they want corespndence and emails and bank records, and anything else you have. Please get it all together if we don't stand together things like this will keep happening, all listed should be receiving a letter from the courts if you don't in the next week to 10 days check back with all to see, I will let all know when we get ours, we will be in Flagstaff on the 23rd and see what can be done, if yo can make it please be there I know in these tough times its hard we're lucky we are within driving distance. I have an older model for my outdoor shower. for the money it is fine. I have incredible water pressure at my house and even with only half inch pipes leading to it it is a nice massage but if you do not have great water pressure it is not impressive. My parents' well water and 1/2 inch pipes make it's jets and multiple heads used simultaneously useless. Mine is atleast four years old and we did need to replace the rain head last year for the orginal rusted out but to be fair it is keep in the sun and rain for five months out of the year. here is my older model after more than 4years of use It was for a while my favorite shower but last year we added a master shower with hard plumbed jets, hand held and rain head with 3/4 pipes for even better pressure, a thermostatic valve to maintain temp and pressure control and three separate water control handles so we can use one, two or three water sources at a time. We have an instantaneous water heater so we never run out of hot water and try to remember to not use it for to long or too often as to not waste to much water and energy. This shower is my oasis! Water pressure I think is a woman's best friend and the jets are haven to me but this set up was substantially more expensive and not a retro fit like a tower is. I much prefer my hard plumbed set up to my shower tower but honestly it is like comparing a Kia to an Audi in cost and not an apples to apples comparison. the set up I prefer. for better therapeutic results if your budget supports this upgrade I recommend this.
