Wowsers!!! Too much, especially for two of them!! Still kind of liking my inexpensive ikea options, especially the ones with wood surround and gloss white drawers. So clean lined, not too much, not too little. Lets the bed be the star. Better look for ceiling fans!!

What about something like this, discreet, not going to take away from the furniture and other lighting, maybe?

I think I've caught it all. Just a reminder Angela of the 'feeling' that you want for the room. I see a lot of wood and dark woods. And possibly many furniture styles. Very strong orange accents. Great if that's the feeling.
Looks like it's moving in a new direction.

- What will be going with the wall color? The long dresser I think.
- about the orange, wonderful accent, is strong and dramatic,
- night stand 'cabinet' design, maybe too heavy for small room
- two matching end tables, small room, too many different furniture pieces.
- I like the light color round tables # 2 , less visual weight, open design, not all rectangles in the room
- I like table # 4 (if they are tall enough, 26"-28"), open design, lighter visual weight, like the contrast base
- I like pendants for bed - lamps for dresser, not all lamps
- I like the shams and pillows, love the bird oblong
- I think you need more blue in the room, lamps or accessories.
- orange and blue colors of items do not have to be the same saturation. I like lights and darker tones together

For drama - orange pillows and orange throw, orange lamps, light or dark tables, midtone drapes or orange, white ceiling fan (get lost in ceiling) dark if want strong accent
- dark bed frame

For serene - print shams, no solid orange pillows, have to have bird pillow, green throw, light tables, #2 or #4 or ? , soft color drapes, soft coral print, white ceiling fan or white and nickel
- dark bed frame (focal point)

I sure agree with LB about matching end tables - #2 light color round ones are definitely my favorite. I do also think pendants are a good idea for bed area with lamps or lamp for the dresser.

Just got back in looking over stuff and realize that I want serene, understated elegance. I just got rid of orange paint in room. I think that was why I chose that sheet set in the first place. I agree with bringing in blue as accents and did pick up some curtains today to see how they will look just did not get around to putting them up. I am not feeling the dresser as night stand, like the dresser better on closet wall, just think that it is too much against the bed and so heavy. #4-Diameter: 26.00" Height: 26.00"----#2-Diameter: 28.00" Height: 26.25"-Current dresser. Still want to use pendant as light over night stands and lamp or lamps for dresser. @LB-are you saying go with the two matching night stands. I just think that it will be easier to get two matching nightstand than getting one nightstand to match dresser unless I go with one round.

I think you should just get the matching nightstands for good symmetry, I love different mix of furniture in room, but nightstands are the one exception. I know it's been fashionable for a while, but many times I think it looks kind of thrown together. Most people's eyes like to see things evenly, it feels right to them. I may not like the round little nightstands, I think they're too small for your large headboard, but if you get them, I think it shoul be matched. I agree with the pendants over nightstands, keep in mind, the larger the pendant, the nightstand top shouldn't be too small. Also keep in mind that tiny pendants will look silly next to big headboard. I still like the orange touches on bed. But would not put them anywhere else. The rest should be the pale blue, white and light naturals you've looked at. But the pillows and orange throw can stay. That makes the bed as a whole the focal point. Ceiling fan should definitely be white or pale silver, no wood tones or darkness on ceiling. I haven't seen the two white lamps on long dresser but I think that's where they should go. Like new dresser next to closet, don't know if it needs a lamp at all, but if it does, still think that blue is too dark. Don't think you need anything on the current tv wall except a serene piece of art.
Thinking of nightstands, has anyone seen any oval ones? You'd get the feeling of roundness but the elongated shape that would be more in proportion with the bed.

MForr, very difficult to find an oval table that can stand up to the visual weight of the bed. Not sure is this is what you mean but I did find this table.

Yes, something like that. I'm thinking the same size all the way down, with shelves. Sort of like a serving cart, but oval and a bit more substantial. I know there must be some out there, I can see them in my mind, just have to find them in my iPad, lol. Also should be a lighter color. I think just Angela's bed and the new dresser should have the darkest wood tones, everything else should be light colored, SERENITY is the word of the day for us on our searches :)

Here is another oval table.

Morning all, had a long night last night. Had a study group at 730pm and then hung out with my girlfriend that is in the Air Force and went to a 1045pm movie to see Wolverine. I am still a kid at heart when it come to comic book movies.

If it makes things easier it does not have to be oval table but we could bring in the oval/round with the pendants. I have been looking at pictures with the bed and they all have non oval nightstand. I am going to see what the measurements for the nightstands that come with the bed is and that should give us some better measurements. Joss Main has some nice pieces on sale now.

Keep in mind are we all on board with painting the old dresser the sea salt blue or some sort of blue.

OK, after this I'll shut up about it, but I'm still very much liking the round two toned table Angela found (one for each side of the bed). It's not a small table as has been mentioned - 28" in diameter is good sized and the height is good too at just over 26". I know Angela is thinking pendants which would be very nice (I agree), but if that requires too much electrical/drywall work, those 28" round tables would accommodate nice big lamps. I think a pair of those round tables is the best nightstand idea yet in working with all the other things in the room.

I think blue paint or a beige shade like the front of the dresser, just a little lighter. I'm boring but if it were me, I might go with a light neutral paint and use accessories to add the blue.

I absolutely love your inspiration photos, so calming. I like the nightstand that comes with the bed, but how does it relate to the inspiration photos? I think you could pull it off if you go for the light accent pieces like in the inspiration photos. Lamps, curtains and a touch of bling.

@Margaret-The photos is more so to show the calming aspects of the room.
I was showing the nightstand to show the measurements when looking for replacements.

Here's a few more, if the shape is good and the price is right but you don't want white, even though I think white might be nice, these could always be painted or washed or dry rushed with a neutral paint

I think that you should probably paint everything white, you won't be happy in there unless everything is painted white. Including the windows and and the clock face. Everyone is doing it, Angela.
