Help me I'd these sans I picked up, please!

I just picked up these sansevierias on lunch break at tjmaxx of all places. ( I know I have to get them home and repot with a grittier mix and a pot with drainage:) I think the first one may be a cylindrical but it's much darker than the one I already own. The second appears to be that cylindrical one mixed with another type. The third I have no idea. Any help is appreciated.

First one is fernwood 'mikado' (meaning it's growing tightly). The second looks like francisii.

Beware! Jatropha is a large genus (nearly 200 species).....All of which are poisonous to some degree-several are deadly! There is one Jatropha commonly grown here in Florida that attains small tree proportions that for some reason many people think is a Pistachio tree (?). Nope; and eating enough of the "nuts" may kill you....not even in the same plant family as the real Pistachio. breaking g., where do you live in Northern Queensland?

Are the flowers clustered, single or semi-double and of a pansy shape? It is hard to tell with the information you have given but if the stems have a group of flowers kind of clustered together like a group it could be a Optimara Tradition. This plant has the foliage you are describing. Hope this may help you. If you could give more of a description of the flowers it would be helpful. davioletman

Welcome to the land of Hostaholics. You have one very fine neighbor to give you a nice healthy plant, as that one appears to be. Definitely not Rainbow's End. That one has shiny leaves and looks almost plastic. Yours is young...could it be a young June? Here is a link to a website that provides endless info. Sansevieria Fernwood for the first two pictures.

"A hybrid produced by Fernwood Nurseries in California, one parent being gracilis. Dark cylindrical arching leaves with close to the soil runners producing offsets. Hybrid made by Rogers Weldt". By Bob Smoley from his web site.

Mikado is an art form from Japan. Plant grouping together of cut spears.

"Japonesa is a 'technique' of planting sans leaves, not the name of a sansevieria". By Russ,

Second picture show new juvenile leaves growing from the cut tips. Common for the juvenile leaves not to resemble the mature leaves in a lot of species.

Could be wrong with 2nd. picture. Not familiar with S. francisii. Just looks like my Fernwood.

I really like the 3rd. one. It looks more like S. francisii.
