New Iron Sleigh Bed-what night stands?

I just ordered a Chas Rogers Sleigh bed in antique white after several years of wanting one. (the antique white isn't an option online-I only found it by going to the NJ store to see the finishes). Since the new bed is far more ornate than what I have now, can anyone offer suggestions to narrow my search for night stands?

I already have an antique birds eye maple dresser with mirror that I plan to use in the bedroom. The mirror and legs are curvy. Since the sleigh bed is also curvy things could get too sickly sweet for me-too granny looking if that makes sense. The look I'm going for is farmhouse (since it actually IS an 1850 farmhouse) but def not primitive. I want the room to be a timeless sanctuary-totally peaceful. (white bedspread, pale yellow walls, white rug, wood floors)

So would I get something with curvy legs to match dresser? Should I match the maple? We have not yet moved in to this space (so sorry no photos yet) but if I recall there is much more room on one side of the bed than the other. Would I get one longer table to take up that awkward space? If not how to fill that space? We def will need storage and I think we should have drawers or cabinets and not open shelves (they tend to collect junk)

After reading other posts on Houzz, I think that similar nightstands with matching lamps seems the most sensible, but that could mean lots of curvy legs and beds. Any advice on how to narrow down the choices?

You could choose to not try to match either.

Recently I've been wishing I'd invested in a wood two drawer filing cabinet that locks as a bedside table for financial records, perhaps with a third shallow top drawer for valuables and/or items (cash/jewelry/weapon/ammo) that need to be safeguarded from particularly nosy visitors. Had I done that while working in an office, I could have gotten it at the discount offered the office by the local office supply store.

You might actually find one in maple -- wide variety of prices and styles.

I bought the Durham Royal Cottage, Junior Chest, Chest of Drawers, Double Dresser with a matching mirror. I also bough the Shutter Door Armiore. I wish I bought the Matching Bed. Instead I bought the Wesley Allen Headboard (Maywood design in Rustic Ivory) to match the small iron table I needed on the right side of my bed since their was no room for a night stand. If my bedroom was bigger, I may have gone with the Durham Savile Row in the Victorian Mahogany and bought two Bedside Chests for more drawer space ( I love the way they look in person), the chest of drawers, and the triple dresser with that landscape mirror. I just loved their sleigh bed so much but their was no room in my bedroom for a footboard. The quality of the solid Maple Wood I have from Durham is wonderful and I have been very pleased with my set and the finish on it. The drawers roll in and out so smoothly and I had no allergies to it. I also love the look of my bedroom set.

We have had our metal bed for over 10 years and are really happy with it. The airy-ness of it keeps it from looking heavy and I like that with the wood furniture, it is not an overload of wood. Our wood pieces all match each other and in our set, the bed would have been one element too many matching. When we bought our bed, it was dark green with a gold wash over parts of it. When we renovated last year, it would not have worked in our new master bedroom scheme, so I spray painted it shiny black and then did silver over that as its wash, and love how it came out. It went from cozy to sophisticated by changing the colors. I was almost tempted to just do the black, but the silver over it softened the look. My dh figured we'd get a new bed, but money was (is) tight and I told him to give me a shot with a few cans of spray paint. That was a great investment and I expect to keep it at least 10 more years.... Btw - the rickety feeling is if it is not tightened enough. A little wd40 will help if you have a squeak. It has performed like a champ for us despite sometimes have 2 kids in it with us roughousing.

My favorite bedroom had a long wall and instead of bedside tables I used a chest on DH's side and a pretty desk on mine. I love having closed storage beside the bed because I always have a stack of books, an iPad, pen, paper, tissues, lip balm, etc., none of which I want to see stacked on top of my night table. I think you will really enjoy your new stand and your husband will love that one little irritation is removed from his life. :-)
