Touchless faucet on a pedestal sink?
Comments (2)Look at the installation instructions for this Delta 15938T-SS-DST, for example. You'd need space for the water pipes, the drain pipe, the solenoid, and the battery pack all within or behind the pedestal. I used Hansgrohe Talis Select (Select E in powder room and Select S in bathrooms). They're completely mechanical: you push the button on the top to turn the faucet on and off and twist the top to adjust the temperature. I prefer the Select S because the top of the Select E is flat so water drops can sit on it, but the Select E looks nicer than the Select S....See MoreConsidering a touchless kitchen faucet
Comments (5)We have one and we HATE it. It turns off all of the time in the middle of using it. For example if we are washing and rinsing a large pot, if the pot bumps the faucet even the tiniest bit is turns off. It is so sensitive to touch that the slightest thing turns it off. We are constantly having to stop and tap it to turn it back on. We do this dozens of times a day, so it is a real annoyance. I would avoid these like the plague. There is something lovely about turning on a tap and it not shutting off on you a million times....See MoreTouchless kitchen faucet?
Comments (28)I have this model from Koehler. It works perfectly. Note you need an electrical connection under the sink. When I leave town I just turn it off by pushing in the handle. To operate you just wave your hand or move a pot or bowl under the sensor. Go to the Koehler site to watch video. I’ve had it about 2 1/2 years with no issues. Note it is expensive but the quality is excellent. No something you will find at local box store. It is also heavy. My plumber said it was good quality https://www.build.com/product/summary/1632478?uid=3873519&jmtest=gg-gbav2_3873519&inv2=1&&source=gg-gba-pla_3873519!c9985097409!a106468653491!dc!ng&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI0c6N3a6Q7wIVC8zICh3REQNKEAQYBSABEgJEDPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds...See MoreTouchless Bathroom Faucet
Comments (5)Are you familiar with Tapmaster? We have two in our primary bathroom and two in our kitchen/coffee bar! Do a search on Houzz and you'll find lots of threads. They require no power to operate and take about an hour to install. We have both the version for floating cabinets and the euro model on our regular cabinets. I've used them for over almost 15 years in two different homes. They're great because you can install them on any faucet!...See MoreSue 430
