Ruby Red Horsechestnut Trunk Splitting

Zac Meyers

I have a small 4" caliper horsechestnut in a windy area that began splitting last year. I'm wondering if there are any products or techniques that will help to ensure that it survives? Thank you for any tips and advice!

You will probably get better feedback if you were to post in either the Trees or Plant Clinic forums - lots more active than this one and if we want to get picky, this is a hybrid selection, so not a native species :-)
