Junk mail and spam increasing!!
Comments (24)"When you must have a degree, are required to be state licensed, accept payment, are validated by the health insurance community, and most of all can remedy my back and neck concerns you are without question a professional. " Always happy to have a discussion. Conventional medicine practiced by physicians is science applied with art. The key word is science, that's why the NIH and med schools spend billions each year for research to understand and treat diseases and conditions. Chiropractic practices fail scientific scrutiny, and no research is done. Reach your own conclusion. Benefits are explained by the placebo effect - which is can be real. It's otherwise hocus-pocus, quackery, use whatever words you like . Schools - while most people that apply to med schools aren't accepted, almost all people going to chiropractic schools are. It's about as hard to get in to them as the trade schools that teach auto mechanics. Insurance companies are happy to cover chiropractors because the charges are lower than from physicians. The danger with chiropractors is when they try to treat conditions they don't understand and make the patient think it's unnecessary to see a physician. Most stay away from that because they realize that a backrub does nothing for diabetes, for instance. Backs don't have alignment, and can't be adjusted. If it helps your pain and you feel better, so be it. A native American shaman has about as much to offer you (or more) in medical treatment than a chiropractor....See Moregetting rid or blocking messages using my e-mail
Comments (5)It is indeed unfortunate when a user's e-mail address is hijacked. Fortunately it doesn't happen too often. I agree with Owbist's thinking that you are being spammed by an e-mail generator. To be on the safe side, if this just recently started I would recommend that you do a full scan with all your security applications to insure that you haven't contracted a bug of some type. Be sure all your definitions are current. If you do verify that it has been hijacked pretty much all you can do is create a new e-mail account and notify only those of necessity. Comments (5)Her email is not being rejected as Spam. What I tried to explain was the possibility that her Internet provider is allowing someone to send out Spam. If that is the case and SORBS are involved they would send the offending ISP a warning, if they heed the warning and close the spammer down all is well. However if they are tardy and fail to act then SORBS acts as an intermediary and blocks everything leaving that particular server. An internet provider can have numerous servers and if only one is involved in Spam then only that one gets blocked. That is why I asked if every email gets blocked or some. So.......... why not try this When the email is returned to the other person what is the reason given? Is it every piece or most of them getting returned? Have your friend right click on the returned message then click Properties, then Details then Message source. Bring this up to full screen and read down through the message. It seems likely that your server is allowing Spam to go out so her internet provider is blocking that server entirely. Look for the word SORBS - it may also be other companies but SORBS are big into this. Until that happens you are not going to know very much for sure....See MoreE-mail Spam
Comments (7)No software, no protocol and no activity is 100% effective. Helpful, but not absolute. And yes, address generators and miners are a spammer's best friend. However, focusing on the word "best" the adage is still absolutely true. Unfortunately users are still their own worst enemy, particularly newbies and the those with limited experience. Through their zealousness to enjoy, and learn on the Internet they register on sites without proper research. They use forwards. They CC. They publish their e-mail address in plain view. They fill in the line on product registration cards. They register on-line for newsletters and free product coupons. And, all this are just examples. We as users sit at home and pay our ISP money for the privilege to connect to the Internet. Site commerce is what drives the Internet. Even legitimate spam though annoying is perhaps useful. It is quite similar to the bulk mail we all get in our mailbox at home. A user's biggest concern is the malicious, false or unwanted, by subject, spam. My personal remedy has been being security minded with my addresses, and multiple e-mail addresses for dedicated use. DA...See Moregardengal48 (PNW Z8/9)
